Golden Knights vs Oilers Prop Bets

Last Updated: May 14, 2023

Choose your adage – must-win, do or die, whatever you want to use. The Edmonton Oilers must hold off the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 to keep from joining teams such as the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs on the golf course.

This pivotal Game 6 gives us an excellent opportunity for Golden Knights vs. Oilers prop betting.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Props • Game 6

Jack Eichel: Anytime Goal Scorer (+155) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 units

While Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid usually get all of the ink, Jack Eichel is having an outstanding postseason for the Golden Knights.

Eichel has six goals and seven assists in 10 playoff games this year, both tied for the team lead in the category.

The center led the Golden Knights with 66 points this year, which only ranked tied for 70th in the NHL, but he has four goals and nine assists against Edmonton in nine total games this year.

Bank on Eichel to light the lamp in Game 6 as my NHL bet of the day.

Mark Stone: Anytime Goal Scorer (+220) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 units

Mark Stone is the player tied with Eichel in assists with seven, but he’s added five goals as well, including one in the second period Friday night.

It was Stone’s first goal since Game 1 of the series, but he’d been a bit banged up earlier. His time on ice, which had dipped below 17 minutes in Games 2 and 3, was back up over 22 in Games 4 and 5.

Stone should pot a goal in Game 6 as part of the Golden Knights’ usual balanced attack.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Team Props • Game 6

Oilers: 1st Period Puck Line -0.5 (+140) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

Even though they lost the game Friday night, the Oilers jumped out to leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in the first period before a terrible second period helped send them to the loss.

Edmonton will need to start fast again Sunday, especially to keep a nervous crowd in the game.

Expect to see the Oilers win the first period again, so I am taking them to cover the first-period Puck Line on Sunday.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 5 Prop Tips

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins came through both for the Edmonton Oilers and for our prop bets in Game 4 with a goal after sitting with a zero in the lamplighter department for the entire playoffs.

The scene now shifts to the home of the Vegas Golden Knights in a pivotal Game 5 at T-Mobile Arena, giving us outstanding opportunities for prop bets.

Golden Knights vs. Oilers Player Prop Odds • Game 5

Compare the best Stanley Cup playoff player prop lines below with our NHL odds:

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Props • Game 5

Connor McDavid: Anytime Goal Scorer (+100) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

It still seems inconceivable that Connor McDavid has just one even-strength goal in the playoffs. It was the first scored in Edmonton’s series-clinching Game 6 win over the Los Angeles Kings.

McDavid has as many shorthanded goals in the playoffs as he does even-strength tallies. At some point, that has to change.

If you’re getting plus odds on a player who scored 64 goals to lead the league in the regular season, you take it. It’s an easy NHL bet of the day.

Evan Bouchard: Anytime Goal Scorer (+410) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

Evan Bouchard picked up a power-play notch in Game 4, giving him four in postseason games this year.

Bouchard had one goal in four regular-season outings against the Golden Knights, but he’s stepped up his game in the postseason.

Bouchard should pot another goal in Game 5, likely on the power play as the Oilers take the lead in the series.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Team Props • Game 5

Over 2 First-Period Goals (+100) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

There have been a lot of first-period goals in this series: Game 4 saw three in the opening stanza, which is tied for the fewest goals in the first period in the series.

Game 1 featured five goals in the first period between the two teams, and Game 2 saw the lamp lit four times by the Oilers alone.

I see that streak continuing, with at least three goals being scored in the first period again, so I am taking the Over in this one.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 4 Prop Tips

Leon Draisaitl was kept off the scoresheet in Game 3. Now, in a pivotal Game 4, the Oilers forward and his teammates need to respond, or risk going back to Vegas down 3-1 in the series.

This important game in Alberta gives us some intriguing Golden Knights vs. Oilers prop bets, especially with the possibility of a Jack Campbell vs. Adin Hill goalie matchup.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Prop Odds • Game 4

Compare the best Stanley Cup playoff player prop lines below:

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Props • Game 4

Jonathan Marchessault: Score A Goal (+225) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

Jonathan Marchessault had a fine season for the Golden Knights this year, and his 28 goals led the team. Three of those goals came in four games against the Oilers, and he added two more in Game 3 on Monday night.

Marchessault can be a streaky player. And when he gets on a heater, he can be dangerous. I think the talented forward gets one in Game 4.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: To Score a Goal (+255) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

If the Oilers are going to win Game 4, they’re going to have to get scoring from players other than Draisaitl, who has been carrying the team on his back all postseason.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had 37 goals in the regular season, which tied for 25th in the NHL. In nine playoff games this year, he has none.

Nugent-Hopkins has to be better for the Oilers to win Game 4, and I expect he will find his game and light the lamp in this one.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game Props • Game 4

Oilers -0.5 First Period (+135) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

The Oilers have to get off to a fast start in this one, especially playing in front of a very nervous home crowd at Rogers Place.

On Monday night they got the opening goal, but were unable to sustain any momentum. By the end of the second period, the game was over.

I’m expecting puck possession to be a big key in this one, along with the Oilers’ dangerous special teams. I see the Oilers jumping out to a first-period lead in this one on the way to a crucial win.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 3 Prop Tips

It has been the Leon Draisaitl show in the playoffs so far for the Edmonton Oilers. The German forward has 13 goals in eight postseason games so far.

The record is held by Reggie Leach and Jari Kurri, who each potted 19, and it appears to be in jeopardy as long as the Oilers continue playing.

Draisaitl scoring seems to be a given but there are plenty of good options for Golden Knights vs. Oilers props for Game 3.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Prop Odds • Game 3

Compare the best Stanley Cup playoff player prop lines below:

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Props • Game 3

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: +1 Assist (-170) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

As I mentioned in the last props preview, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is still trying to find his game in the postseason. He has no goals in Edmonton’s eight games so far, however he does have six assists, five of them coming on the Oilers’ dangerous power play.

Nugent-Hopkins picked up two assists in the last game, both with the man advantage, and I expect he will get another apple Monday night at home, making this our NHL bet of the day.

Mark Stone: Anytime Goal (+205) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

The Golden Knights count on their balanced attack to win games, especially since their leading scorer on the season, Jack Eichel, only put up 66 points on the season.

Ivan Barbashev has picked up his game against the Oilers, with three goals in the last two games, but I am looking at Mark Stone to light the lamp in Game 2.

Stone, like the rest of the Golden Knights, was fairly quiet against Stuart Skinner in Game 2, although he did pick up the only assist on Barbashev’s goal.

The talented forward and his teammates will have to be better in Edmonton Monday night, and I expect to see Stone score in this one.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Team Props • Game 3

Oilers -1.5 First Period (+140) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

The Oilers jumped all over the Golden Knights in Game 2, taking a 4-0 lead in Vegas at the end of the first period.

I expect the same kind of energy out of Edmonton in front of their home crowd in Game 3. I think Vegas will be better in this one, (they can’t be much worse), but I expect the Oilers will have the lead after one period.

I like the Oilers’ first-period Puck Line in this one.

Oilers Race To Four Goals (+105) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

Laurent Brossoit wasn’t very good in Game 2 for Vegas, and he was pulled after two periods having given up five goals. For the postseason, (his first as a starter), he has a goals-against average of 3.13 and a save percentage of .896.

Edmonton’s high-powered attack should easily score four in this one, and I like the Oilers winning the race to four goals in Game 3.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 2 Prop Tips

We expected fireworks in Game 1 of the series between the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers.

And with two teams with plenty of offense and goaltending issues, that’s exactly what we got.

We can expect more of the same in Game 2, giving us plenty of opportunities for prop bets. Here are some prop bets I like in Vegas vs Edmonton Game 2.

Golden Knights vs. Oilers Player Props • Game 2

Mark Stone: Score A Goal (+205) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

This is a simple case of who’s hot and who’s not.

Mark Stone is hot. In his six postseason games this year Stone has four goals and six assists. And Stone has three goals in two games against the Oilers this season.

Edmonton’s Stuart Skinner is not hot. Skinner has a save percentage of .883 in the postseason, and he’s already allowed 24 goals in seven games.

I am taking Stone to light the lamp on the shaky Skinner.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: +1 Total Assists (-135) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

It’s no secret that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is off his game a bit right now.

So far in the playoffs, RNH has no goals and just four assists after seven games. He hasn’t put up a point in the last two games.

But Nugent-Hopkins was outstanding against Vegas in the regular season and is primed for a bounceback. In the four regular-season games, the forward had nine points, eight of them coming on assists.

I expect Nugent-Hopkins to get at least one apple in this one as he continues to find his game.

Golden Knights vs. Oilers Props • Game 2

Golden Knights Goals: Over 3.5 (+112) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

As mentioned, Stuart Skinner is struggling, and the Vegas Golden Knights have a balanced offensive attack led by Stone, Jack Eichel, and Jonathan Marchessault.

In five games against Edmonton this year, the Golden Knights have lit the lamp 20 times.

There’s no reason to expect that the Oilers, even if they win Game 2 as I believe they will, can hold the Golden Knights to less than 4 goals.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Game 1 Props

A series with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Mark Stone, and Jack Eichel? There are plenty of opportunities for prop bets in the round-two matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers.

Here are some prop bets I like for Vegas vs Edmonton Game 1.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Player Props • Game 1

Mark Stone: Score a Goal (+220) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

Mark Stone is a difference-maker for the Vegas Golden Knights.

He looked rusty in Game 1 of the Jets series, his first game back since undergoing back surgery on Jan. 31. But after being held scoreless and taking a minus-3 in the opening game against Winnipeg, Stone scored three goals and added five assists in the next four games to send the Jets packing.

In November, in his only game against the Oilers this year, Stone potted two goals, including one on a penalty shot.

Stone now looks primed for a big game against Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner, who was shaky in the Oilers’ series win over Los Angeles, making this my NHL featured wager.

Jonathan Marchessault: Score a Goal (+235) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 units

Jonathan Marchessault is another Golden Knight who should have a strong game against Skinner.

The center had three goals and five points in four games against the Oilers this season. Those three goals came in the Golden Knights’ two most recent games with Edmonton, a home-and-home in late March.

It’s worth mentioning that all three of those goals came against Skinner, and I expect the talented forward to light the lamp again in Game 1.

Golden Knights vs Oilers Team Props • Game 1

Oilers: Win by Two Goals (+650) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Oilers had the advantage over the Golden Knights in their season series, winning three of the four games. In their most recent matchup in March, the Oilers won 7-4, and the game wasn’t that close as Vegas potted a very late goal.

I like the Oilers to win the series, and Game 1, with an empty-net goal, providing the opportunity for Edmonton to win by two goals.
