Hurricanes vs Bruins Props for Game 1 | Player & Team Prop Bets for Stanley Cup Playoffs

Last Updated: Jun 27, 2022

The Carolina Hurricanes held off the New York Rangers to win the Metropolitan Division. Their reward naturally is playing the Boston Bruins. Since every team in the Eastern Conference amassed more than 100 points, no matchup will be as simple as it may look.

Carolina has arguably the best defense in the league as they led all three major metrics – goals allowed, shots allowed, and penalty kill. With a slightly more polished offense, there may be a few more props to take advantage of on their side of the ledger.

All NHL gameday odds are current as of Monday, May 2 at 11 a.m. ET, and are courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook.

Hurricanes vs Bruins Player Props Game 1

Sebastian Aho: Anytime Goal (+190)

WAGER: 1 unit(s)

There is no doubt that the center loved playing against the Boston Bruins this season. Though he only had two goals and two assists in the three meetings, Aho had two goals in the final contest in February.

Expect Sebastian Aho to get off to a nice start in Game 1 against Boston our NHL bet of the day.

David Pastrnak: Anytime Goal (+150)

WAGER: 1 unit(s)

The idea is to try and keep things tight when it comes to playoff wagering. Do not get out of control, and do not get too tempted early.

David Pastrnak still wound up with 40 goals in 72 games despite a disastrous start. That was on a career-high 312 shots, by the way.

For Monday night, the feeling is he could easily pot a goal, even on the man advantage to keep Boston in the game early on.

Hurricanes vs Bruins Props Game 1

Race to 3 goals (+117)

WAGER: 1 unit(s)

The race to X amount of goals is the 60-minute win in regulation equivalent of going over the top of the moneyline. So, instead of just taking the Over 2.5 goals, go for the gusto and take Carolina to get to three goals first. Boston may not get there, and Carolina has a better chance on Monday night first.

At plus-money, this prop is dangling out there just waiting to be wagered on.
