With bye weeks behind us, we are back to full 16-game betting slates for the remainder of the 2022 NFL season. With games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Christmas is coming early for NFL fans and bettors alike.
Whether it is a division, playoff seeding, draft positioning, or spoiler, teams from around the league have something to play for down the stretch, which is what you want to see as a bettor.
My roller-coaster year in the NFL betting circuit remains inconsistent. While I went 4-1 in Week 13, I followed that up with a 1-4 showing last week.
Anthony Cervino’s 2022 NFL Best Bets Record: 28-46 (-21.5 Units)

Week 15 Best Bet: Colts vs Vikings
Over 48.5 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
In a game that features two of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Over 48.5 is in play. While the Colts are allowing the 19th most ppg (22.9), we have seen them exposed by superior offenses this season.
On the other side, the Vikings are conceding the 24th most ppg (24.1), but have allowed north of 26 points in five of their past seven games.
Even the Colts’ sub-par offense should find a way to do enough to cover their part of the Over in this game.
When it comes to NFL totals betting, the Over is 4-0 in the past four games the Vikings have played facing teams with a losing record. It is also 5-1 in their past six home games.
Week 15 Best Bet: Bengals vs Buccaneers
Bengals -3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
This Bengals vs Buccaneers matchup features a pair of teams trending in opposite directions. While the Bengals are heating up, the Buccaneers are beginning to fade.
I expect the Bengals to come out firing as they are still playing for the AFC North. And while the Buccaneers are also in a fight for the NFC South, the former is flat-out playing better football right now.
The Bengals are 8-2 outright in the past 10 games and have covered the spread in nine of those games. They have both won and covered the spread in five straight.
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are 1-9-1 in NFL spread betting in their past 11 games overall. The Bengals to cover -3.5 is the best bet to make here.
Keep up with all of our NFL lines for Week 15 and beyond:
Week 15 Best Bet: Steelers vs Panthers
Panthers -2.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
As crazy as this must sound, the Panthers can win the NFC South. They are only one game behind the Buccaneers.
While both teams have underperformed this season, we have recently seen signs of life from the Panthers. They have won three of their past four games.
With Kenny Pickett dealing with a concussion, we could see Mitchell Trubisky under center for Pittsburgh, which bodes well for a Panthers defense that is playing better than expected.
Look for the Panthers to win and cover the spread in Week 15. Carolina has covered in six of their past seven games, including four straight.
If you think this game will be decided by fewer than two points, you can bet the Panthers’ moneyline (-140). The Panthers are 3-1 in NFL moneyline betting in their past four games.
Week 15 Best Bet: Patriots vs Raiders
Patriots Moneyline (-120) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Both the Raiders and Patriots have played inconsistent football this season. The Raiders entered Week 14 riding a three-game winning streak, but they laid an egg in last Thursday night’s loss to the Rams.
For the Patriots, they are 4-2 in their past six games, snapping a two-game losing streak in Monday night’s win over the Cardinals.
With a revenge-game narrative at hand, it will be teacher vs student when Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels face off on Sunday. In a spot like this, it is hard to bet against Belichick.
Week 15 Best Bet: Rams vs Packers
Packers -7 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Two of the most disappointing teams in the NFL will close out Week 15 on Monday Night Football. After finishing last season as two of the best, the Rams and Packers are now amongst the league’s worst.
While both sides showed signs of a pulse last week by ending their respective losing streaks, I trust the Packers more in this spot. It is Aaron Rodgers versus Baker Mayfield, after all.
While Mayfield played well against the Raiders’ incompetent defense last week at home, he will have a tougher time against the Packers in Green Bay.
The Rams are 0-4 against the spread in their past four games at Green Bay and 0-8 ATS in their past eight games against the Packers overall. I’ll ride the trend.
