After staying in the .500 range for a few weeks, Miami held me back from breaking even in Week 17. I had recommended the Ravens and Dolphins to both score 20+ points, but Miami scored 19, making its blowout loss almost as painful for me as it was for their fans.
I will look to finish the regular season strong despite a 66-83 record dragged down by a midseason cold streak after a good start.

Week 18 NFL Prop Bets
NFL Week 18 odds used for prop bets are current as of Thursday, Jan. 4
Bills @ Dolphins: BUF To Cover -1.5 1st Half Spread (-108)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER:1 Unit
As noted by DraftKings, Buffalo has won the first half in their last six games. In the last three games, the Bills have averaged 18.3 first-half points, and the Dolphins have averaged 16.7.
Buffalo is on a four-game win streak and has won 10 of the last 11 meetings with Miami, so I expect the Bills to gain an early edge on their way to a win that will confirm them as AFC East champions for the fourth consecutive season.
Seahawks @ Cardinals: Both Teams To Score 20+ Points (-120)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1.5 Units
Seattle has scored 20-plus points in four of its past five games and will be aggressive on offense as it attempts to get past a feisty division rival while trying to qualify for the NFC postseason. The Cardinals scored 35 points in a Week 17 upset win at Philadelphia and have scored 24-plus points in three of their past four games.
Back the Seahawks and Cardinals to roll up a good amount of points as your NFL bet of the day.
Cowboys @ Commanders: DAL To Win Both Halves (-120)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Washington is well aware that it can ruin Dallas’ attempt to win the NFC East and wrap up the No. 2 seed in the conference, but won’t be able to follow through as an inferior opponent. The Cowboys will handle their business and stay in front all the way.
Dallas leads the league in first-half points per game (17.2), while Washington averages 8.8. The Cowboys average 12.3 second-half points overall, while the Commanders have averaged 8.9 points in the second half of their home games.
Packers vs Bears: GB Last To Score (-125)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Green Bay must win to make the playoffs and will ultimately get the job done, but the Bears will battle hard, and the Packers might have to pull out a close one. Chicago has won four of its last five, but Green Bay has won the last nine meetings between the teams, and the streak won’t end when a postseason berth is on the line.
Steelers @ Ravens: PIT 1st To Score/Moneyline (+145)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
The Steelers have worn the look of a determined team over the past two games, dominating Cincinnati and then pushing the Seahawks around on their home turf. Baltimore will rest its key starters, and Mike Tomlin will make sure his guys do what is needed to keep Pittsburgh’s playoff hopes alive.

Week 18 NFL Player Props
CeeDee Lamb: Over 93.5 Receiving Yards (-115) @ Commanders
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Only Tyreek Hill has more receiving yards this season than Lamb, who is coming off a career-best 227-yard performance. He has cleared the projected yardage number in three of the past five games, and Washington has allowed the most receiving yards to WRs this season.
Lamb has the No. 1 WR/CB matchup grade against an opposing CB group for Week 17 on Pro Football Focus.
Josh Allen: Over 1.5 Passing TDs (-115) @ Dolphins
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Miami has allowed nine passing TDs over its past four games, second-most in the NFL. The Dolphins will also be without CB Xavien Howard because of a foot injury.
Allen passed for four TDs in the first meeting with Miami this season. Look for him to end a run of four consecutive games with one or fewer TD passes with the AFC East title at stake.
James Conner: Anytime TD Scorer (-115) vs Seahawks
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1.5 Units
Conner has been an admirable centerpiece of the Arizona offense in recent weeks, with four rushing TDs in his last two games and two receiving TDs in his last two. Seattle has allowed the second-most rushing TDs to RBs on the season (18) and over the past four weeks (five).
Rachaad White: Over 71.5 Rushing Yards (-115) @ Panthers
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
White has been held under the projected rushing total in his last two games, but he soared past the number in the four previous games. He rushed for 84 yards against Carolina in Week 13.
The Panthers have consistently been a matchup to target for RB props, as they are 29th in rushing yards allowed to the position.
Nick Mullens: Over 266.5 Passing Yards (-115) @ Lions
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Minnesota still has an outside shot to make the playoffs, while the Lions will likely remain the third seed in the NFC, and the starters may be limited in some capacity despite what Dan Campbell has said publicly. The Lions have allowed the most passing yards to QBs over the past four weeks, and Mullens passed for a total of 714 yards in his two starts in Weeks 14 and 15.
