Ravens vs Giants Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Oct 16, 2022

The shocking New York Giants are 4-1 and will host the 3-2 Baltimore Ravens at MetLife Stadium Sunday afternoon.

While the Giants are tied for second in the NFC East, the Ravens are on top of the AFC North despite a worse record.

Let’s take a look at Baltimore vs New York betting tips and best bets for NFL Week 6.

Ravens vs Giants Odds

The Ravens are -5.5 road favorites despite being a game worse than the Giants record-wise. While the Giants are overachieving, primarily playing inferior opponents, the Ravens have had much more difficult matchups through the early portion of 2022.

Take a look at the best Ravens odds and Giants odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Ravens vs Giants Implied Totals

Ravens 25.25, Giants 19.75

The bookmakers believe the Ravens, who are scoring 27.6 points per game, will fall two points below their weekly average. On the other side, the Giants are projected to score a hair under their 20.6 ppg mark.

Ravens vs Giants Prediction

Ravens 26, Giants 20

The Ravens could be getting some help at wide receiver Sunday. Rashod Bateman, who missed Week 5 with a foot injury, could return against the Giants. While the Ravens are getting by throwing, their bread and butter is the running game.

The matchup that could decide this game is Baltimore’s rushing offense against New York’s rushing defense. The Ravens have the seventh-best rushing offense getting 144.6 yards per game while the Giants are allowing 131.6 yards per game, the seventh most.

If the Giants fail to contain the run, the play-action deep ball will be opened up, which we have seen Lamar Jackson exploit this season to both Bateman and Devin Duvernay.

As well as the Giants have played in 2022, notably defeating the Packers in their most impressive win last week, they will have their hands full against Jackson and company in Week 6.

Ravens vs Giants Bet Tips

  • The Giants are 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their past five games.
  • The home team is 5-0 in the past five meetings between the Ravens and Giants.
  • The Ravens are 2-2-1 ATS in their past five games overall.
  • The Over is 1-3-1 in five Giants games this season.

Ravens vs Giants Best Bets

Ravens -5.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Ravens are 2-0 on the road this season, which is also the only two times they have covered the spread. This is a trend I will follow in their Week 6 meeting at the Giants.

Meanwhile, the Giants have just one loss, which was the only time they did not cover so far in 2022. That game was at MetLife Stadium, which is where this matchup will be played.

Outside of the Packers, who have their own issues, the Giants have squeaked out wins over inferior teams including the Titans, Bears, and Panthers. The Ravens will test the Giants and bring them back down to earth.

Under 45 Total Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Giants and Ravens have played in a combined 10 games in 2022 and the Under is 6-3-1 in those matchups. Baltimore’s defense has tightened up following a slow start while New York’s defense is carrying the team.

I do expect the Ravens to exceed 23 points, a feat no team has managed on the Giants this season. However, the Giants will be the team who will have an issue on the scoreboard.

They have only scored more than 21 points once, which was in last week’s 27-22 win over Green Bay.

Meanwhile, the Ravens have held the Bills and Bengals to fewer than 23 points in consecutive games.
