Rams vs Giants Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Jan 4, 2024

With just a couple of weeks remaining in the regular season, we have a classic matchup between two teams trending in opposite directions, and the NFL Week 17 odds reflect these trends.

Los Angeles is as much as a -6 point favorite and enters this matchup hoping to build upon a two-game winning streak. Meanwhile, the New York Giants will look to end a two-game losing streak when they host the visiting Rams.

Join me as I share three betting suggestions and a +600 Same-Game parlay suggestion for Sunday’s Rams vs Giants.

Rams vs Giants Odds

NFL odds used for this Los Angeles vs New York preview were found at DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Dec. 28 at 5:13 p.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Rams (-258) • Giants (+190)
  • Spread: Rams -6 (-110) • Giants +6 (-110)
  • Total Points: Over 44.5 (-112) • Under 44.5 (-108)
  • Implied Score: Rams 28.25, Giants 16.25

Rams vs Giants Predictions

Score Pick: Giants 21 Rams 14

This is tough because the Rams are 3-4 on the road and favored by as much as -6 after re-opening at -6.5 across the US sports betting boards on Sunday afternoon.

The Rams are 4-2-0 ATS as the away team with a 3-4 record. The Rams are also 5-0 ATS over their last five, while New York is 3-3 overall at home and 3-2-1 ATS.

The Giants will start Tyrod Taylor at QB after he played the second-half last week against the Eagles and threw for 133 yards with a TD and a pick. Saquon Barkley scampered for 80 yards and a touchdown against Philadelphia but is questionable for Sunday.

The toughest part about rolling with the Giants to win SU is if the Giants can slow down Matthew Stafford and the Rams. Los Angeles has scored 30+ in their last five games, but they face San Francisco in the season finale, and who knows, maybe the Rams look past New York and the Giants pull an upset.

Finally, Barkley must play for the Giants to win, but if he does play, Taylor will still need to play well enough to help pull off the upset at MetLife this Sunday.

Rams vs Giants Best Bets & Props

Cooper Kupp Under 5.5 receptions (+120)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

Kupp has cleared this number in each of his last four and five of his last 10. He’s seen 43 targets over the past five, but my NFL bet of the day is Under 5.5 receptions.

While the Giants allow the third-most receptions per game to wideouts, the high spread, and next week’s vital game against the 49ers, the veteran wideout might not see as many snaps as he typically would. Before the four-game reception explosion, Kupp had five consecutive matchups Under 5.5 receptions, and +120 are good odds for this prop.

Matthew Stafford Under 1.5 TD passes (+140)

bet365 Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit(s)

Stafford has been hotter than fish grease and has thrown multiple scoring strikes in his last five. New York allows 1.3 passing touchdowns per game, but that number dips sharply to 0.50 touchdown passes allowed at MetLife Stadium.

The Rams signal-caller has thrown seven TD passes over his last two away matchups but was held Under his prop number in his other four away contests. This is a good price for this touchdown passing prop and one that’s hard to pass up.

Rams Under 2.5 TDs (+124)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

Since I see Week 17 as a letdown spot for the Rams, scoring three touchdowns on the road Sunday might be a stretch. Los Angeles averages 2.5 touchdowns per game but 2.4 as the away team, and it was much worse before the Rams’ recent winning streak.

New York allows 2.2 touchdowns per home game, and this is a good spot to have a big defensive night for the Giants.

Rams vs Giants Same Game Parlay

Rams vs Giants SGP (+600)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.10 units

  • Either team score 3 unanswered times NO (+145)
  • Rams Under 28.5 (-195)
  • Giants Over 20.5

We lucked out and avoided the moneyline, spread, and total. DraftKings won’t allow me to parlay the three best-bet props as an SGP. No matter. The Rams are in a perfect letdown spot, and I don’t expect anyone to score three consecutive unanswered times on Sunday.

Los Angeles isn’t scoring 30 points against the Giants at MetLife, as I do see some regression from the 30+ they’ve scored over their last five. Taylor gave the Giants offense a spark and faces a Rams defense allowing 24 points per game.
