Eagles vs Ravens Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Aug 9, 2023

After narrowly losing Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles begin their conquest back to the big game by taking on the Baltimore Ravens, who haven’t lost a preseason game since 2015.

Both teams feature strong offensive lines and strengths on the defensive side of the ball. Both teams won double-digit games in the 2022 regular season and will face each other to start their 2023 preseason campaign in Baltimore.

The line shifted over the last few days as Baltimore went from being a three-point favorite to a six-point favorite against Philadelphia.

Eagles vs Ravens Odds

NFL odds used for this Philadelphia vs Baltimore preview were found at DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of August 9 at 12 p.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Ravens (-238) • Eagles (+195)
  • Spread: Ravens -6 (-110) • Eagles +6 (-110)
  • Total Points: Over 35.5 (-110) • Under 35.5 (-110)
  • Implied Score: Ravens 20, Eagles 15

Eagles vs Ravens Predictions

Score Pick: Ravens 20, Eagles 14

The Baltimore Ravens enter the season with a new offensive coordinator that could shift the offense from a major run-heavy scheme to more of a balanced attack. Todd Monken loves to throw, and Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley has reps under his belt from the last two seasons in case Baltimore severely limits Lamar Jackson in this contest.

In the offseason, Baltimore added more receiver depth by drafting Zay Flowers and signing Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor. We can’t disrespect the Eagles defense, which allowed the fewest passing yards per game last season, and this game should be close throughout. Despite the drama surrounding Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins, Baltimore still has Gus Edwards, newly-signed Melvin Gordon, and Jackson to run the ball.

Baltimore was one of the strongest teams at defending against the run last season as they were just one of three teams to allow fewer than 100 yards per game rushing, and the Eagles ran the ball the 3rd most times in the league in 2022. The Ravens will limit the Eagles’ rushing attack and should put up a good amount of points by taking more shots at the end zone with more passing being instituted, and they will edge out the Eagles to keep their preseason winning streak alive.

Eagles vs Ravens Best Bets & Props

Eagles +6 (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

For our NFL bet of the day, the Eagles have many offensive weapons and a strong defense and should keep the game close. They don’t necessarily have to rely solely on the run as they have pass-catching running backs they can work with, such as D’Andre Swift, to keep the chains moving. If the Eagles opt to throw a bit more, they could have more success because the Ravens were such a strong team at defending the run. Both teams are strong defensively, which could limit the scoring on both ends.

Ravens to Win by 1-6 (+310)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

Instead of betting the Ravens moneyline at -238 on DraftKings Sportsbook, wager on Baltimore to win by 6 points or fewer. The Ravens have a ton of offensive weapons, and they will be more aggressive in throwing the ball. Huntley has completed over 65 percent of his passes throughout his career and will likely battle the Eagles’ backups on defense for most of the game.

Under 35.5 Points (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit(s)

The Eagles and Ravens ranked in the top seven, allowing the fewest points scored per game. Both also ranked in the top 10 in the fewest yards allowed per game. The Eagles and Ravens are running out stellar defenses, and the strong defensive play should keep the scoring down.
