The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams enter their Week 5 matchup coming off overtime victories a week ago.
Philadelphia (4-0) held off the Washington Commanders to remain perfect on the young season. Los Angeles (2-2) survived a furious comeback by the Indianapolis Colts to secure their second victory of the year.
Jalen Hurts has accounted for eight total touchdowns and leads the Eagles in their attempt to remain unbeaten. Matthew Stafford leads the NFC in passing yards but has thrown only three touchdown passes through four games.
Here are our predictions and best bets for this Week 5 NFC matchup.

Eagles vs Rams Predictions
Score Pick: Eagles 30, Rams 20
The Eagles and Rams enter this Week 5 matchup in the top half of the NFL in offensive DVOA. However, there are mismatches in the other two phases of the game, both in Philadelphia’s favor.
The Eagles rank 10th in defensive DVOA this season, including being the top team in the NFL in terms of run defense. The Rams rank 24th in defensive DVOA through four games. They are outside the top 20 in both run defense and pass defense.
Philadelphia ranks fifth in points (29.5) and yards (392.0) per game. Now facing a generous Rams defense, they should be able to march down the field and put up points in bunches in this game.
Eagles vs Rams Best Bets & Props
Eagles: Longest Touchdown (-130)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit
In last week’s overtime win, Puka Nacua caught the game-winning 22-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford. That was the first time the Rams scored a touchdown over seven yards this season. I do not see them scoring a long touchdown against a stout Eagles defense that has only allowed one 20-yard touchdown through four games.
On the other side, the Eagles embody a big-play offense. They have scored five touchdowns of 34 yards or more already this season, including at least one in every game this season. A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, and Olamide Zaccheaus have all caught long touchdowns from Jalen Hurts.
Philadelphia’s run game also has plenty of explosivity. They rank third in yards per rush and second in total rushing yards. D’Andre Swift is second in the NFL in rushing yards and averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Swift and Hurts threaten to take it to the house whenever they touch the ball.
I am surprised to see this prop available at such a reasonable price, and I am jumping on it before it moves. This is going to be my NFL bet of the day.
Jake Elliott: Over 1.5 Field Goals Made (-115)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit
Jake Elliott has already attempted 14 field goals this year in just four games. He has made at least two field goals and attempted at least three in all four games this year. That pace may be unsustainable going forward, but expecting at least two made kicks in this game feels very attainable.
The Rams allowed multiple field goals in three straight games before holding the Colts without a field goal last week. However, the Rams jumped out to a 23-0 lead in that game. That forced the Colts to have to score touchdowns down the stretch rather than settling for field goals.
Given their offensive prowess, I expect the Eagles to avoid facing that type of deficit. Philadelphia should be able to dictate the pace of the game, which should include them kicking at least two field goals in this game.
Eagles -4 (-112)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit
I think Philadelphia has too many advantages in all three phases for Los Angeles to win this game. The question becomes whether the Eagles can cover the four-point spread.
Their defense, particularly against the run, should stymie the Rams’ suspect running game. Los Angeles ranks 23rd in yards per rush this year. With Stafford nursing a potential hip injury, I expect the Eagles to be able to limit the Rams’ scoring output while putting up enough points to cover this number.
Eagles vs Rams Same Game Parlay
Eagles vs Rams SGP (+292)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 units
- Eagles -4 (-112)
- Jake Elliott Over 1.5 Field Goals Made (-115)
- Rams Under 23.5 (-120)
I am sticking with laying the four points with the Eagles and going with Jake Elliott to kick at least two field goals as the first two legs of this SGP.
The Eagles’ defense should have a better showing this week after allowing 31 points a week ago. With Stafford and running back Kyren Williams both nursing injuries, that should allow Philadelphia’s defense to key in on Puka Nacua and limit Los Angeles’ ability to rack up points. I am betting on the Eagles to hold the Rams below 24 total points in this contest.
