Titans vs Commanders Predictions

Last Updated: Oct 5, 2022

The Tennessee Titans escaped an 0-2 start with two straight impressive wins against Las Vegas and Indianapolis to get back on track in the AFC South.

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are 0-3 straight up and against the spread since a Week 1 win over Jacksonville. The whole team looks horrendous, especially starting quarterback Carson Wentz.

Can the Commanders bounce back at home as 2.5-point underdogs?

Read on for our Tennessee vs Washington predictions, betting tips, and best bets for NFL Week 5.

Titans vs Commanders Odds

This line opened at TEN -2.5 and quickly jumped to TEN -3 before immediately getting bet down to TEN -2.5. I’d expect this spread to stay the same unless some big money hits one side late before kickoff.

The Under has taken some sharp money despite most of the tickets being on the Over. I am planning on monitoring that closely.

Take a look at the best Titans odds and Commanders odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Titans vs Commanders Implied Totals

Titans 22.5, Commanders 20

Vegas believes the Titans will win a close, low-scoring game on the road. This generally puts value on the home underdog.

Titans vs Commanders Prediction

Titans 28, Commanders 14

I don’t think Vegas is correctly valuing Washington. This team is not good.

Wentz has been sacked more than any quarterback in the league and has just eight touchdowns to five interceptions. The defense has allowed 85 points in the last three games.

There are some great weapons on the Washington offense, but the structure of the team is poor. The offensive line is weak and the secondary is one of the weakest in football.

The Titans should roll by Washington as long as Derrick Henry continues to play well. The Tennessee pass game is built on play-action plays off Henry’s success. While Washington is good in the front seven, I expect Henry to break through and Ryan Tannehill to shred Washington through the air.

If Tennessee can score 24 on both Indianapolis and Las Vegas, they should put up four touchdowns on Washington.

Titans vs Commanders Bet Tips

Here are some Titans vs Commanders betting trends to consider before placing your bets:

  • Tennessee is 5-0 ATS in its last five October games.
  • Washington is 0-5 ATS in its last five October games.
  • The Under is 6-1 in Washington’s last seven home games.
  • The Under is 6-1 in Tennessee’s last seven games coming off a win.

Titans vs Commanders Best Bets

Titans -2.5 (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook

This line is already moving towards Tennessee at some books, so make sure you line hunt and get the best possible number. I would play it up to Tennessee -3.5.

The Commanders give me no hope on offense. The running game is consistently behind the chains and Wentz can’t bail the offense out when he never gets rid of the ball.

I think this is a good buy-low spot on Tennessee, who should continue to win games in October.

Under 42.5 Total Points (-108) at FanDuel Sportsbook

I’m keeping this play small because this isn’t my most confident angle, but I do see value on the Under.

I have no faith in the Washington offense. I’d be surprised if they managed more than two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Washington front seven could hold Henry off enough to avoid explosive rush plays. That would make sure this isn’t a total blowout.

Do not play this number under 42.
