DeAndre Hopkins is officially back and the Cardinals are coming off an exciting Week 7 Thursday Night Football win over the Saints, 42-34. The Cardinals are now tied for last place in the NFC West at 3-4, and head to Minnesota to face the 5-1 Vikings who are in first place in the NFC North.
The Vikings have won four straight games and look to extend that streak to five games. These two teams faced off last year in Week 2 in Arizona, where the Cardinals won 34-33 as Greg Joseph missed a game-winning field goal in the fourth quarter.
Cardinals vs Vikings Odds
As of Wednesday morning, the Vikings are 3.5-point favorites with a 49 Over/Under total. The Vikings are 5-1 and should be fresh coming off their bye week. They’ve scored at least 24 points in every single game this year, and have been the favorites to win in every single game this year except just one.
The Cardinals, on the other hand, are 3-4 on the season but are 4-3 against the spread. They’ve also hit the Over in just two games all year, the last being Thursday night against the Saints.

Cardinals vs Vikings Implied Totals
Vikings 26.25, Cardinals 22.75
The books have the Vikings winning this one by just over a field goal. The 49 total points are currently the second-highest total points for this week (only the Dolphins vs Lions are higher at 50.5).

Cardinals vs Vikings Prediction
Vikings 30, Cardinals 27
This is a great spot for Kyler Murray to prove himself and get the Cardinals on the right track. Murray has been talked about as one of the next, up-and-coming star quarterbacks in the NFL, and really, he’s been fairly disappointing this year.
Murray currently has 1,667 passing yards on the season, good for ninth in the NFL. His seven passing touchdowns are tied with Andy Dalton, Marcus Mariota, and Davis Mills for 17th in the league. While scoring this year has been off to a fairly slow start all around, Murray really needs to show everyone that he’s worth that $230.5 million contract he signed.
With a tough road matchup against a 5-1 team, this will be a big test for Murray and a chance for the Cardinals to get back on track. I am expecting the Cardinals to keep this one close, with a good chance to even win this one outright.
I’ll take the Vikings to win by a field goal, but betting on the Cardinals to keep it close and to cover the spread is my safest bet in this one.

Cardinals Moneyline (+162) at Caesars Sportsbook
As stated previously, I believe the Cardinals have a solid chance of winning this one outright. While I won’t be betting heavily or listing this one as a lock, I’d be comfortable sprinkling 0.5 Units or throwing the moneyline pick into some longshot parlay plays for some higher potential payouts.

Over 49 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
The 49 total points on this matchup seem fairly attainable, despite being one of the highest matchups on the slate. Neither of these two teams has a fantastic defense, and quarterbacks definitely are able to throw on them.
Minnesota and Arizona are both near the bottom of the NFL in passing yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks. The Cardinals give up 258.6 passing yards per game (eighth worst in the NFL) while the Vikings give up 272 per contest (fifth worst in the NFL).
