The Washington Commanders (7-7-1) will host the Cleveland Browns (6-9) at FedEx Field for a Week 17 matchup on Sunday afternoon.
The Browns come into the game already eliminated from playoff contention. Their 17-10 Christmas Eve defeat at the hands of the New Orleans Saints officially marked the second straight season that Cleveland will miss the playoffs.
Washington’s playoff hopes are still alive despite Saturday’s 37-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Commanders will play their final two games at home with a chance to sneak into the postseason via the wild card.
Let’s check out the latest Cleveland vs Washington odds for this Week 17 matchup.
Browns vs Commanders Odds
The Commanders are four-point home favorites as of Tuesday evening at Caesars Sportsbook despite their current two-game losing streak.
Judging by the struggles of both offenses recently, not only is the 40.5-point total slightly too high, but so is the 18-point total for Cleveland.

Browns vs Commanders Implied Totals
Commander 22.25, Browns 18.25
Neither team has managed to eclipse its implied total over their last three games. With Ron Rivera yet to name a starting quarterback for Week 17, you could see this total move either way depending on the starter.

Browns vs Commanders Prediction
Commanders 18, Browns 9
The Browns’ season has not panned out how the team would have hoped after making a blockbuster trade to acquire Deshaun Watson in the offseason.
Since Watson’s return from suspension in Week 13, Cleveland is just 2-2 and has managed to score more than 13 points just once in those four contests. The former Texan has struggled since his return and will miss the playoffs for the third time in his career.
Watson had another poor performance last week, completing less than 50% of his passes while throwing an interception. With the current state of the offense, and how they have looked since his introduction to the starting lineup, it’s difficult to picture the Browns stealing this game on the road.
Despite an up-and-down season, the Commanders still find themselves with a fighting chance to sneak into the playoffs. They will need to secure a win here at home and should get the job done despite the current dilemma at quarterback.
Taylor Heinicke was replaced by Carson Wentz during last week’s blowout loss, and Rivera has yet to name a starter for Sunday’s game. Even so, the Commanders should find a way to pull out a win and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Browns vs Commanders Best Bets
Under 40.5 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
Taking the Under for this matchup appears to be the best option based on the current state of both teams.
Neither squad has been able to consistently put up points, mostly due to the play of both quarterbacks. Given how low-scoring both teams have been, you should feel most confident taking the Under for this game.

Browns: Under 18 Points (+102) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 2 Units
The Browns officially have nothing left to play for and should look to bolster their draft position at this point of the season.
With the team’s current position in the standings, offensive chemistry clearly off, and playing in a tough road environment, the Browns will score less than 18 points in this game.
