When the season started, many people thought that the Broncos/Ravens game would be one of the most entertaining matchups in Week 13. Unfortunately, Denver has underperformed and Baltimore is a lopsided favorite.

One look at the standings is all you need to know about this week’s game. The Broncos are last in the AFC West with a 3-8 record, while the Ravens are in first place in the AFC North with a 7-4 record.
As bettors, though, it is not as simple as looking at the standings and betting on the Ravens, as they are huge 8.5-point favorites. Looking at Baltimore’s game logs, they aren’t putting away weak opponents as easily as they should be.
Last week, they lost 28-27 to the Jaguars as three-point road favorites. The week before, they only beat the Panthers 13-3.
As for the Broncos, outside of last week’s 23-10 loss against the Panthers, they’ve only lost one other game by more than a touchdown. They held the line against the Titans, Broncos, Chargers, Colts, and 49ers, and three of Denver’s losses have been in overtime. If Denver won all three of those games, they would have a winning record right now.
Baltimore should win, but I believe that we will see a closer game than the lines imply.
