Cowboys vs Bills Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Dec 12, 2023

Former Super Bowl combatants will square off when the Dallas Cowboys visit the Buffalo Bills, and both teams have their sights set on returning to glory. The Cowboys are 10-3 and sit atop the NFC East, while the Bills are 7-6 and looking to make a playoff push in the final four weeks of the season.

There aren’t many – if any – quarterbacks playing better than Dak Prescott, who is firmly in the NFL MVP race following a 33-13 win over the Eagles in Week 14. Prescott is currently the favorite to win the prestigious award in our NFL odds comparison tool entering Week 15.

In what’s expected to be a high-scoring matchup between the Cowboys and Bills, here are our predictions and best bets for the Week 15 showdown.

Cowboys vs Bills Odds

NFL odds used for this Dallas vs Buffalo preview were found at DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 9:30 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Bills (-130) • Cowboys (+110)
  • Spread: Bills -2 (-110) • Cowboys +2 (-110)
  • Total Points: Over 49 (-112) • Under 49 (-108)
  • Implied Score: Bills 25.5, Cowboys 23.5

Cowboys vs Bills Predictions

Score Pick: Cowboys 27, Bills 24

The Cowboys enter Sunday’s contest on a five-game winning streak after dismantling the Eagles at home in Week 14.

Conversely, the Bills have alternated wins and losses over the last four weeks, and they haven’t won two games in a row since Week 4 despite defeating the Chiefs on the road in Week 14.

While Prescott has been sensational for the Cowboys, Josh Allen has likewise had a productive year for the Bills.

Although Allen is capable of carrying the Bills to a victory in any game, the Cowboys are one of the most well-rounded squads in the league.

Besides being No. 6 in offensive DVOA, Dallas is among four teams that rank in the top eight for pass and rush DVOA on defense.

The difference in this game will likely be the turnover margin, as the Bills have 21 giveaways (tied for eighth most) and the Cowboys have 21 takeaways (tied for seventh most).

Cowboys vs Bills Best Bets & Props

Cowboys +2 (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

The Bills are favored in this game because they’re playing at home and coming off a road win over the Chiefs.

Even with that being the case, the Cowboys are the better team and Prescott looks extremely comfortable orchestrating the offense right now.

Against the spread, the Cowboys are 9-4 overall and 3-3 on the road. Meanwhile, the Bills are 5-7-1 ATS, going 3-3 at home this season.

While some may view this as a letdown spot for Dallas, the Cowboys are fully capable of winning this game outright to extend their streak to six games, making this our NFL bet of the day.

Cowboys Over 23.5 (-115)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

The Cowboys are averaging a league-best 32.4 points per game, and they’ve scored at least 33 points in each of their five consecutive victories.

On the season, Dallas has posted at least 30 points in nine of 13 games.

The Bills are surrendering only 18.8 points per game (sixth lowest), but that doesn’t tell the entire story. After beginning the season with four straight games of allowing 22 or fewer points, they’ve given up at least 24 points in five of their last nine.

For an offense as red hot as that of the Cowboys, scoring 24 points is very manageable – and betting them at -115 odds seems like fantastic value.

Over 49 (-112)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

The impending showdown between the Cowboys and Bills is tied for the highest projected total in Week 15 at 49 points.

Since the Bills are only two-point favorites at home, a back-and-forth game is a reasonable expectation.

Both of these teams are proficient at putting up points, and the effectiveness of the Cowboys’ offense was already covered. As for the Bills, they are scoring the fifth-most points per game (26.8) and have tallied 32-plus points in two of their last three contests since firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey.

With how effective the Cowboys are on offense, opponents are often required to keep pace with them, resulting in an 8-5 mark for their Overs this season.

Cowboys vs Bills Same-Game Parlay

Cowboys vs Bills SGP (+248)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 units

  • Cowboys +2 (-110)
  • Cowboys Over 23.5 (-115)
  • Over 49 (-112)

In addition to being the better overall team, the Cowboys have a 9-4 record against the spread while the Bills are 5-7-1 ATS.

Prescott and the Cowboys are rolling offensively, producing 33 or more points in five consecutive games. Dallas is also averaging a league-high 32.8 points per game on the season, and we only need 24 points for the second leg of the same-game parlay to hit.

Lastly, Vegas figures this game to be a competitive, high-scoring matchup between two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The Cowboys are 8-5 to the Over, and both of these defenses allow teams to play at a top-10 pace against them.
