Falcons vs Bengals Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Oct 19, 2022

The Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals will meet this Sunday, Oct. 23, in what’s shaping up to be a surprisingly meaningful game for each team.

Both squads sit at 3-3 and could move into first place in their respective divisions with a win (and a little help elsewhere).

Find out which team I have coming out on top in my Atlanta vs Cincinnati best bets and predictions for this Week 7 showdown.

Falcons vs Bengals Odds

As of Wednesday morning, the Bengals are listed as 6.5-point favorites over the Falcons. Moreover, the total is set at 47.5 points, which is appropriate for this matchup.

Take a look at the best Falcons odds and Bengals odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Falcons vs Bengals Prediction

Bengals 24, Falcons 20

I’m with the oddsmakers in believing that the Bengals will win this game, but that 6.5-point spread is giving me pause, especially since the Falcons remain undefeated against the spread.

Atlanta has a surprisingly solid, opportunistic defense this season. The Falcons’ defense ranks fifth in turnovers, eighth in interceptions, and fourth in turnover percentage. At the same time, this team is also allowing the second-most passing yards per game, so it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

On the flip side, the Falcons’ offense has been humming, particularly on the ground. Atlanta is third in rushing yards and fourth in touchdowns. That doesn’t bode well for the Cincinnati defense, which ranks 23rd in yards per attempt.

Fortunately for the Bengals, Joe Burrow and their stellar wideouts should have no problem exploiting a vulnerable secondary, even if their run game isn’t successful.

There will be a handful of scoring opportunities for each team, but given the balance between their respective strengths and weaknesses, I’m expecting this to be a closer, lower-scoring game than projected.

Falcons vs Bengals Bet Tips

Here are some Falcons vs Bengals betting trends to consider before placing your bets:

  • The Falcons are the only undefeated team ATS. The Bengals are 4-2.
  • Overs are 3-3 for Atlanta and 1-5 for Cincinnati.
  • This is only the third meeting between these teams since 2010. Cincinnati has won the last two.

Falcons vs Bengals Best Bets

Falcons +6.5 (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Falcons lose the game, but they add another win ATS. This group has done a fantastic job of keeping things close, and I expect them to do the same in Week 7.

Under 47.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel

This will be a more methodical game, with each team stringing together longer drives and sticking to their respective strengths. Cincy Unders being 5-1 also play a role here.
