We’ve got a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII when the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) take on the San Francisco 49ers (3-3).
Kansas City is coming off their bye week, while San Francisco just comfortably took care of the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
This could wind up as one of the best games of the season, so let’s get right into my Chiefs vs 49ers predictions and best bets for Week 7.
Chiefs vs 49ers Odds
NFL odds are current as of Thursday, Oct. 17, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
- Moneyline: Chiefs (+102) vs 49ers (-122)
- Spread: Chiefs +1.5 (-110) vs 49ers -1.5 (-110)
- Over/Under: Over 47 (-110) / Under 47 (-110)
Chiefs vs 49ers Prediction
49ers 24, Chiefs 21
The 49ers are currently 3-3, but they can easily be 5-1 right now, as they blew leads against the Cardinals and Rams this season.
On the other side, the Chiefs are 5-0, but four of those wins were by seven points or less. They could have lost to the Ravens, Bengals, and Falcons.
My point is that the difference in records shouldn’t deter you from taking the Niners in this spot.
San Francisco is at home, where they’ve gone 15-3 with Brock Purdy under center.
This feels like a spot where Patrick Mahomes will miss Rashee Rice, as the 49ers defense got back on track last week, limiting the Seahawks’ offense to 10 points entering the fourth quarter (the rest was scored in garbage time).
While it should be a close game, I give the edge to the Niners at home.
Sportsbook Play of the Day
Chiefs vs 49ers Best Bets
49ers ML (-122)
The 49ers are 15-3 at home with Brock Purdy at quarterback.
Despite the Chiefs coming off the bye, it’s going to be tough for them to keep pace with a stacked 49ers offense that is fully healthy aside from Christian McCaffrey.
I’m betting that this is a game where we start to see Kansas City’s limited weapons come to the forefront in a road loss to the 49ers.
Look for San Francisco to win their second game in a row in one of my best NFL bets today.
George Kittle: Over 50.5 Receiving Yards (-130)
George Kittle has eclipsed 50 yards in three of his last four games.
This is a great spot for Kittle to go Over 50.5 receiving yards because the Chiefs rank 31st in yards allowed to tight ends.
We’ve seen Isaiah Likely (111 yards), Mike Gesicki (91 yards), and Kyle Pitts (59 yards) go Over this number vs the Chiefs.
It also helps that Kansas City’s run defense has been elite — 7th in Rush EPA — so we could see the 49ers have to air it out more often.
