The key to building a tournament-winning DraftKings DFS lineup is to find value pricing on players who are set up to succeed each week.
The purpose of this article is to help you define which players you should be adding to your DFS lineups on the cheap, which will allow you to fill your remaining lineup with some elite chalk options.

Each week, I will give you a discount player at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE, DST) to help you build your winning lineup.
Now, let’s jump into my DraftKings DFS value picks for Week 9!
Week 9 DFS Picks
QUARTERBACK
Ben Roethlisberger ($6,500), Pittsburgh Steelers @ Dallas Cowboys
I love quarterbacks who throw multiple touchdowns on a consistent basis. Ben Roethlisberger makes that list. He has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season. He’s thrown the 7th-most TDs among quarterbacks and has already had his bye week.
This week, Big Ben faces the Cowboys defense, which sits in the middle of the pack against the quarterback position. They rank even lower (28th) allowing 2.3 passing touchdowns per game.
Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers are undefeated and will look to keep it that way by taking advantage of their matchup in Dallas in Week 9.
RUNNING BACK
Phillip Lindsay ($5,200), Denver Broncos @ Atlanta Falcons
Phillip Lindsay has 79 or more rushing yards in each of his last three games. He looked like the more explosive back between him and Melvin Gordon against the Chargers last week, scoring on an impressive 55-yard run up the middle.
Both Lindsay and Gordon have a favorable matchup in Week 9 against the Falcons’ defense is ranked 25th for average fantasy points given up to running backs this year.
*Philip Lindsay missed practice on Wednesday due to a foot injury. If he cannot go on Sunday, I recommend starting Melvin Gordon ($5,300) in his place. It’s a no-brainer replacement as Gordon would get the full workload in this tasty matchup.
WIDE RECEIVER
Corey Davis ($5,900), Tennessee Titans vs. Chicago Bears
Corey Davis has been amazing for Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans since returning to action in Week 7. Since then, in two games, Davis has caught 14 of his 20 targets for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Typically, I like to avoid tough matchups, but Corey Davis has performed on an elite level with elite-level volume. A.J. Brown should still command attention in a game against a standout secondary. This should allow Davis to continue to see significant volume. Expect Tannehill to look Davis’ way often against the Chicago Bears pass defense.
TIGHT END
Evan Engram ($4,300), New York Giants @ Washington Football Team
Evan Engram has 11 receptions on 19 targets in the last two weeks. It appears the return of Sterling Shepard has opened up opportunities for Engram. His target volume should leak into Week 9 as the Giants’ opponent struggles against the tight end position.

Engram has yet to record a touchdown reception this season. I’m expecting him to hit pay dirt against the Washington Football Team’s defense who ranks 31st in average fantasy points given up to tight ends this year.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
New York Giants ($2,700) @ Washington Football Team
The New York Giants’ defense has scored 4 or more fantasy points on DraftKings in every game but one this season. They have racked up 34 fantasy points in the last 4 weeks, including two double-digit performances in that span.
In a position that is quite volatile on a week to week basis, the Giants offer a safe floor against the Washington Football Team’s offense who have given up the 9th-most fantasy points to defenses this season.
