The key to building a tournament-winning DraftKings DFS lineup is to find value pricing on players who are set up to succeed each week.
The purpose of this article is to help you define which players you should be adding to your DFS lineups on the cheap, which will allow you to fill your remaining lineup with some elite chalk options.

Now, let’s jump into my DraftKings DFS value picks for Week 8!
Week 8 DFS Picks
QUARTERBACK
Derek Carr ($5,500), Las Vegas Raiders @ Cleveland Browns
First of all, get ready for a bunch of Raiders in this article :-).
I’ve been talking up Ryan Tannehill so much about how he’s thrown multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season. Well, the same thing can be said about Derek Carr.
Not only has Carr thrown a touchdown in all but one game, but he’s also inside the top 10 for most TD passes in the league. Carr has done a great job protecting the football, as well, throwing just 2 interceptions on the season.
He has completed 72% of his pass attempts this year. Look for him to continue his hot streak against the Browns’ defense, which has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
RUNNING BACK
Le’Veon Bell, Kansas City Chiefs ($4,600) vs New York Jets
Apparently, DraftKings has never heard of revenge games, because Le’Veon Bell is ridiculously priced (in a good way) for his Week 8 matchup against his former team, the New York Jets.
Last week, in his first game with the Chiefs, Le’Veon Bell was already seeing some decent time on the field. He played 33% of the Chiefs’ offensive snaps and had just two fewer carries than their lead back, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Bell finished the game with 39 rushing yards (only 7 yards less than CEH) and proved more productive with his carries averaging 6.5 yards per carry vs CEH’s 5.8.
Although this is only his second week with the team, it’s the perfect time for head coach Andy Reid to fully unleash Bell and give him every opportunity against his former team. KC will probably be up big throughout the game and should continue leaning on the ground-game duo.
I’m sure both would love to show the New York Jets how Bell should have been utilized and regret their decision to let him go.
The Jets rank 27th among DraftKings defenses against running backs.
WIDE RECEIVER
Nelson Agholor, Las Vegas Raiders ($4,700) @ Cleveland Browns
If you read my Week 8 Waiver Wire article, you know how much I love what Nelson Agholor has done for the Raiders.
Coming off a 107-yard, 1-touchdown game (has now scored a TD in each of his last three games), Agholor should continue his success against the Browns this weekend.
Agholor has seen the majority of snaps among all Raiders’ wideouts in the past few games. He also leads the team with 4 receiving touchdowns.
Agholor will continue to see an increased target share. He’s earned it. He’s catching passes from the quarterback with the second-best completion percentage in the league, which will help his chances of having a monster game against the Browns.
The Browns have given up the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.

TIGHT END
Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders ($5,600) @ Cleveland Browns
I love what the Raiders have done on offense this season. I’m not being careless with my recommendation of stacking Raiders in Week 8. There are good reasons for it.
Derek Carr has been an efficient quarterback, and the Browns have been terrible against most offensive positions, including tight ends.
The Browns rank 28th against tight ends. Darren Waller is the third-best fantasy football tight end in the league. This game has all the makings of a standout performance for Waller.
Carr has thrown multiple touchdowns in all but one of his games. There is no reason that Waller and Agholor can’t both hit pay dirt on Sunday.
Among tight ends, Waller ranks second in targets, first in receptions (tied with Travis Kelce), and fourth in receiving yards. Waller is a no-brainer lock in your DFS lineups considering his matchup and price tag.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
Indianapolis Colts ($3,000) @ Detroit Lions
Now it’s time to save even more of your budget on a great defense. The Colts have only had fewer than 7 fantasy points on DraftKings twice this season. They rank fourth in fantasy points scored on Yahoo fantasy.
The Colts lead the league in safeties (2) and interceptions (10) while tying for first with 2 defensive touchdowns.
The Colts defense will face the Detroit Lions this weekend. The Lions’ best fantasy assets are ranked as follows; the 23rd-ranked quarterback, the 23rd ranked running back, the 48th-ranked wide receiver, and the 7th-ranked tight end (who has just 256 receiving yards on the year).
Look for the Colts to return great value on their price tag.
