Read Nate Hamilton’s Week 7 DraftKings Picks for DFS.

The key to building a tournament-winning DraftKings DFS lineup is to find value pricing on players who are set up to succeed each week.

The purpose of this article is to help you define which players you should be adding to your DFS lineups on the cheap, which will allow you to fill your remaining lineup with some elite chalk options.

Each week, I will give you a discount player at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE, DST) to help you build your winning lineup.

Now, let’s jump into my DraftKings DFS value picks for Week 7!

Week 7 DraftKings Picks

Quarterback

Gardner Minshew II, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,900) @ Los Angeles Chargers

Gardner Minshew has thrown 2 or more touchdowns in four of his six games this season. He’s thrown the ball a ton this year (average of 44 attempts per game) and has a favorable matchup in Week 7. Favorable how? Well, the Chargers rank 28th against quarterbacks in 2020!

I’d expect this to be another pass-happy game for Minshew as he aims to keep up with the Chargers’ offense and their rising star QB Justin Herbert. Minshew will look to his key targets in this contest to give the Jaguars a chance to win as they head into their bye week.

Running Back

Todd Gurley, Atlanta Falcons ($6,000) vs Detroit Lions

I do not understand why Todd Gurley continues to be underpriced each week. He is becoming a staple in my DFS lineups because of it.

This week, Gurley gets a Detroit Lions defense that has given up the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs. He has 5 rushing touchdowns on the year, which is tied for the third most at his position.

Expect Gurley to provide a safe floor with tremendous upside in a game that should produce a lot of fantasy points.

Wide Receiver

DJ Chark, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,500) @ Los Angeles Chargers

Here comes the Chark stack attack! DJ Chark is primed for a big game this week. He is coming off a 14-target game that did not produce much, but for fantasy, that’s a good sign Gardner Minshew will looks his way often against the Chargers.

The Chargers defense has been decent against the wide receiver position this year, but as I mentioned, I believe Minshew will be throwing a bunch in this game. Chark will benefit against a defense giving up 273 passing yards per game this season.

Tight End

T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions ($5,000) @ Atlanta Falcons

T.J. Hockenson has only caught four passes in the last two games but has found the end zone in both. This matchup against the Falcons has high-fantasy-point potential for everyone, including the Lions’ top tight end.

Hockenson began this season catching 50-plus yards in each of his first three games. He’ll get plenty of opportunities this week to do it again. The Falcons have given up the second-most fantasy points to the tight end position this year.

Defense/Special Teams

Dallas Cowboys ($3,000) @ Washington Football Team

Before you say anything, I know the Cowboys defense has been trash this season. Now that that is out of the way, let me justify my DST pick for this Week 7.

This is simply one of those weeks you do not want to pay up for defense. The key is to find an option on the cheap with a decent matchup. Enter the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys defense has scored negative fantasy points in three of its first six games on DraftKings. Why do I bring this up? They likely will not be heavily rostered in tournaments. If/when they hit, you will be one of the few benefiting and rising the ranks of DFS.

More importantly, The Washington Football Team ranks 26th against fantasy defenses. This is the Cowboys’ chance to take out their frustrations on a terrible offense in an important divisional matchup.
