Week 10 NFL Betting Trends: 5 Stats to Know

Last Updated: Jan 9, 2021

Week 10 NFL Betting Trends: Week 10 of the NFL season has several big games on its slate and we will have you covered all the way up until kickoff. Today, we are looking at the top five betting trends you need to know before the games begin.

1. The Browns have won seven of their last nine home games

The Browns don’t appear to be a great home team on the surface, but that’s precisely what they have been over the last calendar year. The Browns have won seven of their last nine home games, with one of those losses coming in Week 8 against the Raiders in a windstorm. Against a bad Houston team in Week 10, they should have no problem winning and covering as their strong run game is difficult to stop.

2. Tampa Bay has covered the spread just four times in their last 14 games against NFC opponents

Under head coach Bruce Arians, the Buccaneers have not been great against NFC opponents. As we saw in Week 9, they were blown out by the Saints and nearly lost to the Giants in the week prior. In Week 10, they will have another tough task ahead of them as they will face a sneaky-good Panthers’ team that nearly upset the Chiefs in Kansas City last week. Can Tampa Bay cover a touchdown spread on the road in Carolina? Look for this to be one of the better games in Week 10.

3. Buffalo is 1-5 against the spread on the road this season

One of the better games of the weekend features the Buffalo Bills traveling to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. This game features two of the most athletic quarterbacks in the league in Kyler Murray and Josh Allen and should be one of the week’s highest-scoring matchups.

The Cardinals open this game as two-point favorites over the Bills in Week 10 and that’s intriguing as Buffalo has failed to cover the spread in five of their last six road games. The Bills don’t have the same defense they did early in the 2019 season and that’s causing them to struggle to close out games. Don’t be surprised if the Cardinals win and cover this week.

4. The Broncos have failed to cover the spread in five-straight games against the Raiders

We have seen some fantastic battles between the Broncos and Raiders over the last decade, with several games coming down to the final play. But as of late, it’s been the Raiders who have had more success in those contests. In the last five meetings between these two AFC West teams, the Broncos have failed to cover in every game. In Week 10, the Raiders are 5-5.5 point favorites and look like one of the AFC’s better teams. It will be fascinating to see if the Broncos can break this streak on Sunday.

5. The Bengals have failed to cover in 16-straight road games

The Bengals have been one of the most fun teams in the NFL this season with Joe Burrow at quarterback. We saw them upset the Titans in Week 8 and nearly beat the Browns in Week 7. But they will face the toughest task of the season in Week 10 as they will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

Currently, Cincinnati is around a touchdown-underdog to Pittsburgh in Week 10. But I suggest you avoid that line. The Bengals have failed to cover in 16-straight road games and they have historically struggled against the Steelers. They’ve now lost 10-straight games to the Steelers and have lost six of their last seven in Pittsburgh. Maybe Burrow can change things this week, but don’t count on it. More importantly, don’t bet on it.
