The Titans’ kicker (Stephen Gostkowski) and punter (Brett Kern) are both on the COVID-19 IR Reserve list. If they remain out, it’s yet to be seen who will handle the team’s kicking duties.

The Texans’ best and most important player, Deshaun Watson, is questionable with an arm injury. The QB is, however, expected to play “if he’s healthy." If Watson does happen to suffer a setback, AJ McCarron would likely get the start.

TEN RB Derrick Henry has rushed for at least 98 yards in six of the Titans’ last seven games. He has also topped 125 in four of those seven. When these two teams faced off in Week 6, all Henry did was rush for 212 yards on 22 carries, for a whopping 9.6 YPC. He also added two TDs in Tennessee’s 42-36 OT win. I expect another big game from Henry against Houston in Week 17.
HOU DE J.J. Watt let his teammates and world know how he feels about being able to play a kid’s game in order to make a living. If Watt’s words haven’t fallen on deaf ears, he could be a game-wrecker come Sunday. The Pro Bowler had a quality contest the last time these teams met, tallying one sack and two tackles for a loss.

These teams average a combined 53 PPG — 30.0 for Tennessee and 23.1 for Houston. Even if Watson does suit up, I can’t see this many points being scored. I predict a 34-13 final score.

The Texans could play inspired football, following Watt’s post-game speech in Week 16. However, the Titans simply have more talent and should come away with a straight-up victory.
