Last Updated: Jan 8, 2021

Tennessee Titans (10-4) at Green Bay Packers (11-3)

The Tennessee Titans visit the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. ET. Here’s our complete guide to Titans Packers Bet Tips. Odds and lines from Titans-Packers picks are from PointsBet, current as of Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Titans Packers Bet Tips

Odds & Betting Lines for Titans-Packers Picks

  • Against The Spread: Packers -3 (-125)/Titans +3 (+105)
  • Moneyline: Packers (-186)/Titans (+155)
  • Total: 56 — Over 56 (-115)/Under 56 (-105)
  • Implied Team Totals: Packers 29.5, Titans 26.5

This will be one of the most action-packed games on the Week 15 slate featuring two teams with Super Bowl aspirations in mind.

Both teams also advanced to their respective conference championships last season and poised for another run. The Titans are in first place in the AFC South and control their own destiny needing wins. Victorious in four of their past five games, the Titans are riding a two-game win streak to Green Bay to knock off a Packers team that is the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The Packers have won six of their past seven games, including four straight, and will be a tough out at home, especially if winds are a factor at the frozen tundra.

Titans-Packers Key Injuries

Titans

The Titans have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL but could be getting some help back. While they remain up in the air to play this week, both Kenny Vaccaro (illness) and Kristian Fulton (knee) have a shot.

Vaccaro has missed each of the past two games with an illness that has yet to be linked to COVID.

For Fulton, he was activated from the injured reserve list last week, but his playing status is uncertain as the Titans were forced to activate him as they were up against his designated to return window. Fulton was the 61st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and has played in five games, logging one sack and one interception.

Packers

Packers RB Jamaal Williams is questionable to play with a thigh injury suffered in last week’s win over the Panthers. He exited the game in the first half and did not return.

If the Packers hold Williams out against the Titans, A.J. Dillon should be in line for additional work. However, it will likely be Aaron Jones getting the bulk of the touches instead in a game in which he should once again pop.

Jones rushed 20 times for 145 yards and a touchdown last week against the Panthers and will now get a Titans defense surrendering the 15th-fewest rushing yards per game (114.5) along with the fourth-most touchdowns (12) to the position.

Titans-Packers Players to Watch

While the Packers’ defense is playing well, they can still be beaten by a top-end offense. They will get that on Saturday in the form of the Titans. However, the way to really expose Green Bay is attacking them right up the gut with a strong and punishing ground game. The Titans bring that too, possibly, better than any other team in the NFL.

Derrick Henry has been a monster this season, but he’s been on an absolute tear in the second half. While Henry went for 100+ yards rushing in four of his first eight games of the season up to Week 9, the elite rusher has gone for 100+ in 5-of-6 games since Week 10, scoring seven times in that period.

Titans Packers Bet Tips and Titans-Packers Picks: Robert Tonyan could cause matchup issues with Tennessee's inconsistent defense

Since Week 11, Henry has rushed for 133+ yards and 1+ touchdowns in four of five games played, including in two straight, topping out at 215 yards and two scores in Week 14 against Jacksonville.

If Henry gets going, this Titans offense will be hard to contain. Ryan Tannehill has been incredible operating off the play-action pass and has the weapons on the outside to exploit even the best coverage.

Packers TE Robert Tonyan has been an outstanding find for the Packers’ offense. While Tonyan has played on the team since 2018, he has yet to make an impact, until now. In 2020, Tonyan has been money, especially in the scoring department.

While Tonyan has 10 touchdowns on the year, he’s scored five in his past five games. In each of his past five outings, Tonyan has 5 targets, 4+ receptions, 18+ yards, and a score. That’s a five-game scoring streak if you’re keeping score.

Now, Tonyan will look to extend his streak to six games getting a Titans defense surrendering the 13th most receptions (68), the 12th most yards (753), and the sixth most touchdowns (7) to tight ends in 2020.

Titans-Packers Picks & Best Bet

BEST BET: Over 56 (-115)

This game presents a massive 56-point total, but I still like the Over despite the fact. While the wind and weather could be a slight factor, both teams can run the ball exceptionally well. And while I can’t speak for Ryan Tannehill’s play in bad conditions, I know that Aaron Rodgers can care-less. He can still sling it… well.

Moreover, this game will feature two of the top three scoring offenses in the NFL. The Packers are third at 31.0 points per game while the Titans are No. 1 at 31.1 PPG.

The Over is 7-2-1 in the Titans’ past 10 games, hitting in five of their past six games, including last week.

Seven of the Titans’ past 10 totals have been in the 50s. The Over is 5-1-1 in those games.

The Over is 4-4 in the Packers’ past eight games, failing to hit in three straight. In those three games in which the total hit the Under, the totals were in the 50s. However, Packers’ foes included the Panthers, Lions, and Eagles. Those are not exactly high-octane offenses like their Titans.

The Over is 4-1 in the past 5 meetings between the Titans and Packers.

CONSIDER: Packers (-186)

This game will be close. Both teams match up fairly well, only I edge Green Bay’s defense over Tennessee’s. I also give the Packers an edge because they are playing at Lambeau, one of the toughest stadiums to win at if you’re the visiting team.

One of the biggest differences in this game will be the pass rush on either end. The Packers have the ninth-most sacks (38) while the Titans have a league-low 14. Meanwhile, the Packers are allowing the fifth-fewest sacks (19) while the Titans are giving up the seventh-fewest (21).

If the Titans can not establish pressure on Aaron Rodgers, he will pick apart their horrendous pass defense, allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game (276.0).

CONSIDER: Packers -3 (-125)

There is not much of a difference between these two teams as I had said in the above blurbs. However, I give the edge to Green Bay because of their home-field advantage, their overall defense, and their pass rush.

The Titans are 4-1 against the spread in their past five games, covering in two straight.

The Packers are 2-4 ATS in their past six games, failing to cover in two straight.
