Steelers Jaguars Odds and Betting Lines

  • Against The Spread: Steelers -10 (-110)/Jaguars +10 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Steelers (-455)/Jaguars (+340)
  • Total: 47.5 — Over 47.5 (-110)/Under 47.5 (-110)
  • Implied Team Totals: Steelers 28.5, Jaguars 18.5

The Steelers are the NFL’s lone undefeated team. They will carry their flawless 9-0 record to face the Jaguars, a team that has only logged one win in nine games this season.

However, despite the difference in standings, the Jaguars have played better under Jake Luton. They have lost each of their past two games by fewer than four points — their best stretch to date.

Steelers Jaguars Players to Watch

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster hasn’t had the explosive season many thought he would in Ben Roethlisberger’s return. However, he’s picked up the pace of late and will look to keep it going in an exceptional matchup against the Jaguars.

While in his first five games, Smith-Schuster only had one game with 8+ targets, he’s had at least eight targets in three of his past four, including two games with at least 13.

Smith-Schuster also logged at least six receptions and 67 yards in each of his past four games since Week 7 as well, a feat he only accomplished once from Weeks 1-6.

He’s also getting it done in the end zone. Smith-Schuster has scored a touchdown in two straight games, ending a four-game drought. With Smith-Schuster getting going, so is Roethlisberger.

Big Ben has recorded back-to-back games with 300+ passing yards, his first two 300-yard outings of the season.

Smith-Schuster has played in three career games against Jacksonville. In each of his past two, he’s gone for 100+ receiving yards or a touchdown.

Jaguars RB James Robinson has been terrific in 2020. A UDFA from Illinois State, Robinson has been one of the lone bright spots on the Jaguars’ offense.

The all-purpose back logged at least 90 combined yards in seven games this season, including five games with over 100. He’s also scored seven total touchdowns on the year, including at least one in 5-of-9 matchups.

Although his upcoming matchup with Pittsburgh is not a favorable one, it is one that Robinson can exploit if the Jaguars commit to the run. The Steelers have given up 100+ rushing yards in each of their past three games to their opponents in combined team rushing (not including quarterbacks).

Prior to Week 8, which was the first game they allowed a team to combine for 100+ rushing yards against them, they’ve surrendered fewer than 83 team rushing yards in their previous six outings.

Steelers Jaguars Weather Report

The weather at TIAA Bank Field calls for a clear afternoon at the time of kickoff with a 0% chance of precipitation.

The temperature is forecast at 75 degrees Fahrenheit with 8 mph winds blowing East.

Steelers Jaguars Bet Tips

BEST BET: Under 47.5 (-110)

While we know what the Steelers are capable of on both sides of the ball, the questions come from the Jacksonville end.

Pittsburgh is averaging the fourth-most points per game (30.1) in the NFL this season while surrendering the third-fewest PPG (19.0).

Jacksonville is averaging the seventh-fewest PPG (22.1) in the league this season while allowing the second-most PPG (30.1).

The Under is 3-4-2 this season in the Steelers’ nine games played and 2-1-2 in their past five.

The Under is 4-5 in Jacksonville’s nine games played and 3-2 in their past five.

The under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between the Steelers and Jags.

CONSIDER: Steelers -10 (-110)

This should be a close game early, but it will only be a matter of time until Jake Luton makes a mistake and the Steelers blow the game open.

The Steelers are 7-2 against the spread this season and 2-1 in their past three games.

The Jaguars are 4-5 ATS this season and while they are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games, they have covered in each of their past two outings.

The road team is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings. In this scenario, the Steelers are the road favorites.

PASS: Jaguars (+340)

While the Jaguars are 1-2 against the Steelers in their past three meetings, Jacksonville is not quite the same team. And when I say not quite, I am being nice.

Those Jaguars teams had elite defenses that could shut down the best. Jacksonville blew that up and are left with what you see, a 1-8 football team.

Even in a home game with an unknown rookie quarterback (Luton) who has played both of his first two starts against Houston and Green Bay close, I am not giving the Jaguars a chance here.

You’re better off playing the lottery than wagering the Jaguars’ Monleyine in Week 11.
