Steelers Cowboys Bet Tips

Steelers Cowboys Odds and Betting Lines

  • Against The Spread: Steelers -14 (-105)/Cowboys +14 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Steelers (-800)/Cowboys (+550)
  • Total: 41.5 — Over 41.5 (-110)/Under 41.5 (-110)
  • Implied Team Totals: Steelers 27.5, Cowboys 16.5

The Steelers are a perfect 7-0 this season including impressive wins over Baltimore and Tennessee in each of their past two games. Things will get easier for Pittsburgh this week as they’ll get a spiraling out of control Cowboys team going on their fourth different starting quarterback of the season.

Steelers-Cowboys Players to Watch

Steelers RB James Conner should be busy early on Sunday.

Let’s face it, this is a game that the Steelers should control and handily win. In that scenario, they will lean on running backs that include Conner early then likely pivot to Benny Snell in second-half, clock-killing garbage time.

Conner has scored a touchdown or totaled over 100 yards in each of the past six games.

Steelers Cowboys Bet Tips: Ezekiel Elliott needs to step up

Facing a Cowboys defense allowing a league-high 170.9 rushing yards per game with eight touchdowns to enemy backs, Conner is primed for his best outing of the year as long as the Steelers don’t elect to sit him to early if/ when the game gets out of hand.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott is the lone offensive piece on the Cowboys that could give them any possibility of winning — they have no shot.

However, since b went down against the Giants back in Week 5, the Dallas offense has been anemic, including Elliott — the Cowboys have only scored one touchdown since losing Prescott in 13 quarters.

In three games sans Prescott, Elliott has totaled fewer than 80 yards without a score.

Steelers-Cowboys Weather Report

The temperature is forecast at 78 degrees Fahrenheit with 11 mph winds blowing in the direction of South-Southeast.

Steelers-Cowboys Betting Guide

BEST BET: Steelers -14 (-105)

14 points is a tremendous line, but the Steelers will cover it on Sunday.

Not only is Pittsburgh bringing the sixth-best defense in points allowed (20.3), they are also giving up the fifth-fewest total yards per game (310.7).

With the Cowboys slated to start Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert on Sunday, the Steelers defense will have a field day.

I don’t see how Dallas scores in the double-digits in this one, which means the Steelers won’t have to do much against an atrocious Cowboys defense to pick up the win and cover the 14 points.

The Steelers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and 6-1 ATS this season.

CONSIDER: Over 41.5 (-110)

I like the total to go over because of the fact that the Steelers offense can pop in the right matchup. The Cowboys are, in fact, that right matchup.

Dallas’ defense is yielding the most points per game this season (33.3) and the 24th most total yards (384.9). Meanwhile, the Steelers offense is scoring the fifth most PPG (30.1) and the 25th most total yards (339.0).

I love the Steelers offense to do their part, but I also love their defense to score points as well whether it is a defensive touchdown, a safety,y or both facing whichever inexperienced quarterback the Cowboys put under center in Week 9.

The over is 4-2-1 in Pittsburgh’s seven games played in 2020.

CONSIDER/PASS: Cowboys +14 (-115)

This current Cowboys team has been blown out and lost by at least 14 points in each of their past three games without Dak Prescott. That trend will continue against Pittsburgh on Sunday, the best team Dallas has faced without their QB1.

Dallas is 0-8 ATS this season. They aren’t covering on Sunday and will fall to 0-9 ATS come the game’s end.
