Seattle Seahawks (11-4) at San Francisco 49ers (6-9)

The Seattle Seahawks visit the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. Here’s our complete guide to Seahawks-49ers Bet Tips. Odds and lines for Seahawks-49ers picks are from PointsBet, current as of Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Seahawks-49ers Bet Tips

Odds & Betting Lines for Seahawks-49ers Picks

  • Against The Spread: Seahawks -5.5 (-110)/49ers +5.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Seahawks (-265)/49ers (+210)
  • Total: 46 — Over 46 (-115)/Under 46 (-105)
  • Implied Team Totals: Seahawks 25.75, 49ers 20.25

The Seahawks have the NFC West locked up, but with a victory, a Green Bay loss, and a New Orleans loss or tie, they can move up to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which would get them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The 49ers have nothing to play for but spoiling Seattle’s hopes for home-field. The Seahawks are 5-1 in their past six games, winners of three straight. Meanwhile, the 49ers were victorious last week following three consecutive defeats.

Seahawks-49ers Key Injuries

The Seahawks are not dealing with any new significant injuries that would impact Seahawks-49ers picks.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk suffered an ankle injury in last week’s win over the Cardinals and has already been ruled out for the season finale. With Deebo Samuel already sidelined with a hamstring injury, the 49ers will roll out Kendrick Bourne and Richie James as their top two pass-catching options at wide receiver.

However, last week, the 49ers got some help back in the form of George Kittle, who played his first game since Week 8. Kittle dropped a 4/92/0 line on five targets on Arizona’s defense.

Seahawks-49ers Players to Watch

The 49ers employ an offensive system that almost any competent running back can produce in. It’s been a revolving door at running back since Kyle Shanahan has taken over the 49ers with the latest stud in the stable coming in the form of Jeff Wilson.

In his past three games since Week 13, Wilson has scored a touchdown. With Raheem Mostert sidelined last week, however — Mostert suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 15’s loss to Dallas — Wilson popped for 204 total yards and a score versus the Cardinals.

Wilson will once again be the primary rusher in another tough matchup on Sunday. This time, he will get a Seattle defense surrendering the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game (96.2).

While Wilson has not been active in a meeting with the Seahawks since 2018, he did go off for 134 yards against them in their first matchup that season.

Seahawks WR DK Metcalf has had a monster season so far. However, he’s been relatively quiet in his past two games. In each of his past two outings, Metcalf has gone for fewer than 59 yards without a touchdown.

This is a get-right matchup for Metcalf. In three career games against the 49ers, he’s had 6+ receptions and 70+ yards. While he has scored 1+ touchdowns in each of his past two games, he really broke out in the Week 8 meeting with the 49ers from earlier this season. Metcalf dropped a 12/161/2 line on 15 targets on their normally stingy srecondary.

The 49ers are yielding the sixth-fewest passing yards per game (211.2) this season, but Metcalf has their number.

Seahawks-49ers Weather Report

The weather at Levi’s Stadium calls for a rainy afternoon at the time of kickoff with a 90% chance of precipitation.

The temperature is set at 56 degrees Fahrenheit with 2 mph winds blowing Southwest.

Seahawks-49ers Picks & Bet Tips

BEST BET: Under 46 (-105)

While the 49ers’ defense has played erratic football this season, they played one of their best games of the year in last week;’s win over the Cardinals, holding that red hot offense to 12 points.

While the 49ers are only allowing the fifth-fewest total yards per game (316.7) in 2020, they are surrendering the 17th fewest points per game (24.3). That is a vast difference likely caused by giveaways and field position.

The Seahawks’ defense has been operating as one of the best units in the second half of the year following their historically poor start.

The Seahawks have given up fewer than 23 points in seven straight games, including five games holding teams to fewer than 17. They also held the Jets and Rams to fewer than nine points in two of their past three games. They did not allow a touchdown in either matchup.

The Under has hit in the Seahawks’ past seven games.

The Under is 4-2 in the 49ers’ past six games, hitting in two of their past three including last week.

The Under is 6-0 in the Seahawks’ past six games as a favorite.

The Under is 0-4-1 in the past five meetings between these two teams.

CONSIDER: Seahawks (-265)

The Seahawks have a shot at the No. 1 seed. Albeit a longshot. The Seahawks must win while the Packers must lose and the Saints must lose or tie. Still, Seattle has something to play for.

As a result, the Seahawks should come out firing on all cylinders to give themselves a chance at the No 1 seed in the NFC.

The Seahawks are 4-2 straight up in their past six meetings with the 49ers, winning their Week 8 matchup from earlier this season.

The Seahawks are 5-1 SU in their past six games, winners of three straight.

The 49ers are 2-6 SU in their past eight games, winning last week following a three-game slide.

PASS: Seahawks -5.5 (-110)

While the Seahawks are the superior team in this matchup considering all of the 49ers’ injuries, the recent Seattle-San Francisco meetings have been close calls.

Three of the past four matchups between these two teams have been decided by fewer than five points, two of which by three. In their meeting from Week 8 of this season, however, the Seahawks won by 10.

Seattle is 4-2 against the spread in the past six matchups with the 49ers, but 4-4 in their past eight.

These Week 17 games could be tricky. Even though the 49ers have nothing to play for, they have a lot of pride with Kyle Shanahan as their leader and will play hard for him. The 49ers played spoiler against the Cardinals last week and will be glad to do the same again.
