Packers Lions Key Injuries

Packers

The Packers’ injury report is mostly clean with a couple of backup running backs (A.J. Dillon and Tyler Ervin) and a backup WR (Equanimeous St. Brown) listed as questionable.

Lions

With Kenny Golladay and D’Andre Swift both listed as questionable, the other skill-position players on offense, specifically Marvin Jones Jr. and Adrian Peterson will need to continue to step up.

Packers Lions Players to Watch

GB RB Aaron Jones had a massive game when these two teams met earlier this season, in a 42-21 win by the Packers. The running back had 18 carries for 168 yards and two touchdowns while averaging a whopping 9.3 yards per carry in that contest.

He also led the team in receiving going for 4 catches (on 8 targets) for 68 yards and another TD. Jones should feast again on Sunday.

DET QB Matthew Stafford could have another serviceable game, like he did in his team’s Week 2 loss to Packers. But I wouldn’t expect more than the 244 yards and two passing TDs he tabulated in thatr one.

T.J. Hockenson is the surest bet on the Lions’ offense, racking up 16 catches and 241 yards on 24 targets over the past three weeks.

Packers-Lions Weather Report

Ford Field is a dome. Weather will have no affect on the game’s outcome.

Packers Lions Bet Tips

BEST BET: Packers -7.5 (-110)

I simply don’t see any way the Lions defense stops the Packers. And I don’t think the Lions can score enough to keep up. I’d obviously prefer this at 7 points as we could see a back-door push from Detroit, but the Pack should realistically win this one by at least 10.

CONSIDER: Over 55 (-110)

The over/under the last time these two teams met in Week 2 was 51 points and they combined for 63. While I think most of the points in this one come from the Packers, who have scored at least 30 in each of the last three weeks, I’ll lean to the over in this indoor game.

PASS: Lions (+310)

The Lions aren’t winning this game. Enough said.
