NHL Bets 4/29/22: Detroit Red Wings @ New Jersey Devils
Best Bet: Red Wings Moneyline (+140)
Wager: 1 Unit
The Detroit Red Wings head to Newark to face the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. Thankfully, this is the last game of the season for both teams. As for New Jersey, they allowed six goals in Carolina on Thursday night and still have several players not 100% from a nasty stomach virus.
While Detroit is 31-40-10 and New Jersey is 27-45-9, the Red Wings are somewhat better than New Jersey is right now. The Devils have lost five straight games and are looking eager to make sure their coaching staff does not return next season.

Both teams have been playing out the string for the better part of a month now. New Jersey probably has been since the Olympic Break, to be honest.
Things have gone from bad to worse in April, as New Jersey has just one power-play goal while allowing three short-handed goals.
Expecting the inevitability of a home dud is understandable. The last time these two teams played in Newark, Detroit shut out New Jersey behind a 17-save performance from Alex Nedeljkovic.
That is not a misprint.
This game should see a somewhat better New Jersey effort but Detroit should get plenty of chances.
Again, this is a plus-money pick worth taking a shot on as our NHL bet of the day.
NHL Bets 4/29/22: Chicago Blackhawks @ Buffalo Sabres
Best Bet: Over 6.5 Goals (+100)
Wager: 1 Unit
The Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres can score some goals and particularly when it comes to Chicago, goals seem to follow. The Over in Buffalo games has connected six times over the past 10 contests.
Keep in mind, there were two pushes and that was because the over was moved up to seven because of bettors. That should not be the case on Friday night.
The matchup is not exactly a marquee one but any time Patrick Kane comes home, goals tend to follow. Again, Buffalo had hit on the over in five straight games up until Thursday night’s road egg by the Sabres.
On the bright side, the trend in these matchups moves toward the over as opposed to the Under. In four of the previous five meetings, the Over hit.
Extend out a bit and that number becomes six-of-eight, or 75%. That is a solid trend.
Again, Buffalo wants to send its fans off on a good note heading into the off-season. Chicago just wants to go up and down the ice and try and outscore its opponent.
The Buffalo Sabres over has connected in five of its last seven home Friday dates.
Both teams can easily score three or more goals in this tilt. Expecting a 4-3 or 5-3 outcome is looking increasingly likely. Take the Over here on Friday night.
