NFL DFS Thanksgiving Picks | Underdog Daily Fantasy Sleeper Player Props To Play

Last Updated: Jul 14, 2023

Want some excitement this Thanksgiving holiday? Play NFL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) this Thursday and enjoy the holiday games even more with your family.

If you’re looking for a way to combine the fun of betting and fantasy football, Underdog Fantasy may be the perfect site for you.

Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, Underdog has users build their own parlays by selecting Over or Under on up to five specific player props instead. The more props you select, the higher the multiplier on the entry fee.

Another unique game on Underdog is called where users enter a snake draft of 3, 4, or 6 people and choose a roster. Then, you compete against the entire pool, and if your team scores the most, you win!

Now that you understand how Underdog Fantasy works, it’s time to give you my sleeper draft picks and my DFS football predictions for the Thanksgiving games!

They don’t call me the “Head of Winning" at Underdog Fantasy for nothing.

Prop stats information for NFL DFS Week 12 picks are current as of Wednesday, November 14, at 1:00 p.m. ET.

NFL DFS Thanksgiving Week 12: Underdog Fantasy Sleeper Picks

Users can enter The Turkey Battle Royale 4-person, 6-round draft and have a chance of winning a share of $50,000 in prizes.

Target these sleepers in your Underdog Thanksgiving Draft:

Cole Beasley, WR, Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints

The Bills’ second wide receiver last year, Cole Beasley has been relegated to the third wide receiver this year with the emergence of Emmanuel Sanders and, more recently, the return of Dawson Knox. Beasley is the kind of guy Buffalo needs right now to get things back on track.

I see Beasley getting a lot of targets in the dome on Thursday. He’ll be that third-down chain mover. Look for Beasley to have a huge game.

Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Sticking with wide receivers, Michael Gallup is a sleeper player to snag.

As we get closer to Thursday, it’s looking like Amari Cooper will miss the game. CeeDee Lamb returned to practice on Wednesday, and while that’s promising, he’ll most likely be on a limited snap count if he plays, so look for Gallup to be the top option.

Ja’Marr Chase caught a touchdown against Las Vegas this past Sunday, so I expect Gallup to do the same.

Andy Dalton, QB, Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

If you want a deep, deep sleeper pick, Andy Dalton is your guy. He’s a veteran quarterback who’s playing one of the worst teams in the NFL.

In a 6-man draft, you have to take one of the six quarterbacks playing on Thursday, and while Dalton isn’t (and shouldn’t) be one of your top options, this is a sneaky leverage pick that will allow you to focus on other positions with your first few picks. Dalton is a late-round sleeper.

NFL DFS Thanksgiving Week 12: Underdog Daily Fantasy Sports Prop Games

Users can parlay up to five NFL fantasy picks together to win up to 20 times your entry fee.

T.J. Hockenson, TE, Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

Under 47.5 Receiving Yards

As one of the few good players on the Lions, T.J. Hockenson will be targeted a decent amount. However, his ADOT (averaged depth of target) isn’t that high.

When Hockenson had 11 targets and 10 receptions, he was only able to get 89 yards. Hockenson has missed this mark four times this season and just barely reached it twice. So this is a good opportunity to take the Under.

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Under 266.5 Passing Yards

I know it’s not a lot of fun, but I like riding Unders. Dak Prescott has missed this number in two of the last three games and three other games earlier this season.

With Dallas potentially missing their top two weapons in a short week, you have to assume the Cowboys utilize the run game more in this matchup. Ezekiel Elliot will be the guy, but even if he can’t go, the Cowboys have a lot of trust in backup Tony Pollard.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints

Under 83.5 Receiving Yards

I’m in on Beasley having a big game, so it’s only fitting that I have Stefon Diggs Under here.

New Orleans has a much more stout defense than we have seen this season. Along with that, Diggs has seen his target share drop, especially with Knox returning. Diggs has only been able to hit the Over on this line four times this season.

NFL Thanksgiving Games Predictions

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions

This is going to be one of those short-week, Thanksgiving stinkers. Everyone will be excited to watch football with their families to start the day, but then they’ll remember it’s the Bears and Lions with Dalton and Tim Boyle going head-to-head.

This game will look a lot more like the Ravens-Bears game in which there wasn’t a lot of scoring.

Bears vs Lions Thanksgiving Prediction: Bears 18, Lions 9

Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys

I like the Raiders in this spot, but the Cowboys will squeak this one out. Dallas will look to control the ball and run the clock down with their run game.

Las Vegas has lost three in a row, and that’s usually when I like to get back on their train for betting, but ultimately, Dallas walks away with the win in a competitive game.

Raiders @ Cowboys Thanksgiving Prediction: Cowboys 24, Raiders 21

Buffalo Bills @ New Orleans Saints

I really can’t get a grip on the Bills. Buffalo is the better team in this matchup, but I have the Saints in an upset.

In the past five games against Buffalo, New Orleans is 5-0 Against The Spread. The Bills are still looking for their identity, and the Saints will exploit that.

Bills @ Saints Thanksgiving Prediction: Saints 27, Bills 24
