COVID-19 Update: This game has been postponed until 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 21 due to COVID-19 concerns.
As you all know, the Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks game has been moved to Tuesday following nearly 30 COVID-19 incidents with the Rams.
Here, despite how hectic this has been, we will try to make the most sense out of this game as possible from a betting perspective.
Please note that all NFL Week 15 odds and lines are current as of 10 AM EST on Monday, December 20.

Seahawks vs Rams Prediction
Update: As we inch closer to the Tuesday night game, the Rams have activated players such as wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., running back Darrell Henderson, defensive backs Donte Deayon and Jalen Ramsey, and more. However, players such as tight end Tyler Higbee remained sidelined for the team, as well as wide receiver Tyler Lockett and running back Alex Collins for the Seahawks.
This is a tough game to analyze because I’m at odds with two different parts of my thought process, including accounting for the COVID list.
The first is logic. The logic here, on paper, indicates that the Rams should demolish the Seahawks. Sure, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been playing better, but the Rams defense should absolutely decimate the Seahawks offensive line, thus making it difficult for Wilson to push the ball downfield.
The Seahawks are seeing a resurgence from running back Rashaad Penny, but oh yeah, the Rams are the best team in the league against the run, per PFF’s grading system.
The only thing going for the Seahawks in this matchup is that they have two stud wide receivers, and Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey can only cover one of them. Though if Lockett doesn’t clear protocols in time, that may not be the case.

The other part of my thought process here is just my gut feeling. They say to always go with your gut, and for some reason, this game has the makings of Wilson keeping the Seahawks in the game throughout.
That’s where analyzing these games becomes tricky because there’s not exactly a statistic to point to that. Wilson is coming off a great game, but it was against the Houston Texans.
So with that, I think the Seahawks, especially against a division rival, find a way to keep the game a lot closer than you’d think.
Prediction: Rams 27, Seahawks 24
Seahawks vs. Rams Best Bets
Best Bet: Seahawks +7 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 0.5 Units
Heading into this game, the Rams had about 30 players on the COVID list. This number has lessened, but it is still close to a dozen, whereas the Seahawks had just Lockett and Collins. Of course, Lockett is a vital piece for the Seahawks, but the Rams placed many players on the COVID list, including the following:
- TE Tyler Higbee
- RT Rob Havenstein
- EDGE Von Miller
On the eve of the game, it’s fine to question the status of these Rams players, as well as Lockett and Collins.
Of course, vaccination status and whether it was a positive test of close-contact play a role here, but with this game moving a few extra days, this should allow the bulk of the players to return. One of those players includes Beckham Jr., who tweeted that he tested negative, indicating that was likely a close contact.
Assuming these players will be back in action, I’m lowering my typical 1 unit recommendation here to a much lower 0.5. This is a tough game to peg, as mentioned.
While the Rams rank high in PFF’s grading system for pass rush and run defense, they rank toward the middle-of-the-pack in terms of coverage at full strength.
Wilson is still a top-tier passer of the football, but the problem is this: will he be able to successfully accomplish that, considering his offensive line will need to handle Aaron Donald and even guys like Leonard Floyd?
At first, I think there will be issues, and we could see the Rams get out to that early 10-0 or 13-0 lead. However, I believe we have the making’s a backdoor cover in both the point spread and total department coming our way, according to our NFL gameday odds.
Best Bet: Over 45.5 Total Points (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
I’ll go a bit higher here in terms of units wagered. When I see the 45 line, this indicates that the books are expecting perhaps a bit of a larger gap in the point totals for these two teams.
The Seahawks don’t have much leverage here when matched up against the Rams other than the COVID list and potential absences, but the combination of Wilson and this being a divisional game sets up for some kind of magic that we cannot fully determine by looking at a stat sheet.
On the other side, it would not be at all shocking to see the Rams win by two scores or more, making this our NFL bet of the day.
