Even though he was essentially a non-factor in San Francisco’s surprising win over the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round, 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk plays an important role. The second-year wideout ranked third on the team in receiving yards and touchdowns this season.
More importantly, for a team riddled by injuries, Aiyuk was available. He was one of only a handful of offensive players to appear in all 17 regular-season games this year, and he’s kept that streak going into the postseason as well.
Aiyuk came up big in his last outing against the Los Angeles Rams, logging a season-high 107 receiving yards in San Francisco’s Week 18 win. Perhaps he’ll be an x-factor in the NFC Championship?

Aiyuk’s agility and route-running ability make him a considerable threat to get open in the middle of the field, which is where he did the most damage against the Rams in Week 18. Assuming he’s lined up against lesser defenders, he could do the same this weekend.

This is also a relatively low number for Aiyuk to clear. Excluding the two games where he didn’t record a reception, he’s hit the Over on this prop eight times this season.
Given that his best performance of the year thus far came against the Rams a few weeks ago, it couldn’t hurt to throw some money on the Over.

This pick is a bit riskier, which is why we aren’t wagering a full unit.
Aiyuk scored five touchdowns this season, the last of which came in Week 16. In two games against the Rams, he went scoreless both times.

With that said, I think the 49ers could have to pass a bit more than they’d prefer to in this matchup, which should lead to more targets for Aiyuk.
In that case, a sprinkle on his anytime TD scorer prop could be worthwhile, making this our NFL bet of the day.
