NBA Week 8 Betting Stats: Marcus Mosher brings the latest NBA Week 8 Trends to know.
We are now eight weeks into the NBA season and we are quickly approaching the midway point of the year with the All-Star game coming next month. But we’ve still got a ton of basketball until then and it’s time to make some money. Here is everything you need to know about betting on the NBA this week.
NBA Week 8 Betting Stats
1. The Brooklyn Nets are in a bit of a slump
After the trade for James Harden, the Nets had a stretch where they looked like the best team in the NBA. They won eight of 10 games and averaged over 123 points per game. However, they’ve been in a bit of a slump lately as they’ve lost four of their last five games. It’s also worth noting that they have failed to cover the spread in four of the last five games, as well.
The losing streak is easy to explain as Kevin Durant has been out due to health and safety protocols. Still, this team is too talented to lose to the Pistons by double-digits as they did on Tuesday. The defense continues to be a significant issue as they allow over 118 points per game, second-worst in the NBA.
The Nets will take on another slumping team on Wednesday as they will host the Indiana Pacers, who have lost five of their last six games. Even without Durant, the Nets should be able to take care of business. But if they fall in this game, it’s time to start getting worried about this team, especially on the defensive end of the court.
