NBA Week 6 Betting Stats: Marcus Mosher brings the latest NBA Week 6 Trends to know.

We are now five weeks into the NBA season, which means we finally have some data to help us with our bets. Here is everything you need to know about betting on the NBA this week.

NBA Week 6 Betting Stats

1. The Hawks are finding their groove.

One of the most aggressive teams in free agency this offseason was the Atlanta Hawks. They signed several veterans, hoping to make a playoff push with their superstar guard Trae Young. They got off to a hot start, winning four of their first five games. But they were in a terrible slump since the new year, losing six of seven games at one point.

However, they’ve seemed to find their footing over the last week-and-a-half, winning four of their previous five games. Their most impressive victory came against the Clippers on Tuesday night, winning 108-99. Atlanta has now covered in four of their last five games and will take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight. This will be a big challenge for them as they need to show they can compete with the Nets and their three superstars. Consider this game a must-watch on Wednesday night.

2. The Nets have struggled against the spread since adding James Harden.

Speaking of the Nets, they’ve been pretty good in the win column since adding James Harden. They did have two slip-ups against the upstart Cleveland Cavilers, but they have won six of their last eight games all together. A few of those wins were extremely impressive, such as their nail-biter win over the Bucks on Martin Luther King Day.

However, their victories haven’t necessarily translated into success against the spread as they have covered just twice in their last six games. With the Nets having three superstars on their roster, they will be a team the public bets on often. You’ll see inflated lines likely for the rest of the season and that’s why it might be the smart play to avoid them on Wednesday night as they are 6-point favorites over the Hawks.
