NBA Week 4 Betting Stats & Trends: Suns are sizzling against the spread

Last Updated: Jan 13, 2021

NBA Week 4 Betting Stats: Marcus Mosher brings the latest NBA Week 4 Trends to know.

We are now a few weeks into the NBA season and that means we finally have some data to help us with our bets. Here is everything you need to know about betting on the NBA this week.

NBA Week 4 Betting Stats

1. The Suns have covered the spread in 16 of their last 20 games.

The Phoenix Suns were one of the best stories of the NBA Bubble. With a remote chance of making the playoffs, the Suns went 8-0 in the restart as they just narrowly missed the tournament.

In the offseason, they made the bold trade of acquiring superstar Chris Paul, which has led to a hot stat as the team is 7-4 on the season. They’ve also been incredible against the spread in their last 20 games, covering 16 times.

On Wednesday, they will take on the Hawks and they are currently five-point favorites. Recent trends suggest that may not be enough points as they’ve been playing excellent basketball as of late.

2. Minnesota continues to be an awful home team.

Things don’t appear to be going that well in Minnesota with the Timberwolves. Despite boasting several “star" quality players, the team just can’t find a way to sustain any success. One of the Wolves’ biggest problems has been their inability to win on their own court.

While there aren’t fans attending NBA games yet, they still haven’t been able to take care of business when they aren’t forced to travel. Minnesota has now lost 16 of its last 20 home games, and they will take on the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center on Wednesday night.

Considering their lack of home success, it might not be a bad idea to bet against them once again when they’re in the Twin Cities.

3. The Lakers are undefeated on the road this season.

The sign of a great team is the ability to take care of business on the road. No team has done that better this season than the Los Angeles Lakers.

On the season, the team is undefeated when playing away from home with a record of 6-0. Coming off a blowout win against the Rockets on Tuesday night, the Lakers will take on the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The Lakers are big favorites in that game and have the unique combination of size, speed and athleticism. While there isn’t a ton of value in betting the moneyline in games with the Lakers, don’t be afraid to throw them in a parlay as they are a safe bet away from home.
