March 29 NBA DFS Picks
Star Shootout- Early Games
MKF Contest: More Or Less (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)
James Harden, G, Brooklyn Nets (vs. Minnesota Timberwolves): More Than 10.5 Assists
The Nets will have Kyrie Irving back in the fold Monday night, and Harden is averaging 10.3 assists per 36 minutes with Irving on the floor and Kevin Durant (hamstring) off, and 11.5 per contest overall during Durant’s current absence. He’s dished out over 11 dimes in three of the last six alone, and he faces a Timberwolves team allowing the fifth-most assists per game (26.3), including the third most (27.3) in the last three contests. Minnesota is also yielding the second-highest shooting percentage (48.1) in the NBA, giving Harden’s passes an even higher likelihood of finding the net, especially with Irving back and his career-high 52.0 percent shooting back on the floor.
Jonas Valanciunas, C, Memphis Grizzlies (at Houston Rockets): Less Than 14.5 Rebounds
The Rockets are giving up the most rebounds per game (57.7) and also shoot an NBA-low 42.5 percent at home, setting up plenty of opportunities for opposing centers on the defensive glass. However, Valanciunas’ own Grizzlies squad shoots much better on the road (47.6 percent) than at home (44.9 percent) and also allows elevated 47.3 percent shooting when traveling. Valanciunas is an excellent rebounder overall, but 15 or more boards is a tall bar to clear, one even the big man has come up short of in 24 of 38 games, including 10 of 16 road contests. Christian Wood (illness) and Kelly Olynyk, one of which will be Valanciunas’ primary opposition near the glass Monday, both match Jonas’ 6-foot-11 height as well, leading to me believe Valanciunas could have a very strong rebounding performance without quite getting to 15.

Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs

De’Aaron Fox, PG, Sacramento Kings: More Than 43.5 Fantasy Points
The Spurs are allowing 49.1 MKF points per game to PGs on the season and rank in the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency (27.3 percent) surrendered to ones. Fox has been on a torrid tear that’s seen him average 50.1 MKF points over his last 11 games, and he’s averaging career bests in points (24.8), assists (7.3) and shooting percentage (48.6). San Antonio ranks just outside the bottom 10 in the league in assists per home game allowed (25.1) as well, and they’re giving up the fifth-most rebounds per contest (55.0) of any team on its home floor. Finally, it’s worth noting Fox has exhibited much higher usage on the road, where he’s averaging 25.7 points, 7.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals across 36.5 minutes and putting up a hefty 20.2 shot attempts per contest.
DeMar DeRozan, SG, San Antonio Spurs: More Than 38.5 Fantasy Points
The Kings have been a sieve all season long and check in allowing a Western Conference-high 118.6 points per contest while also ranking in the bottom half of the league in rebounds (52.8), steals (8.0) and blocks (5.2) allowed per road game. DeRozan has eclipsed 39 MKF points in 21 of 36 games, and he’s even shooting over seven percentage points higher from three-point range at home (33.3) as compared to the road (26.1 percent). With the Kings also allowing 48.1 percent shooting when traveling – including 38.3 percent from distance – and 47.6 percent shooting to small forwards specifically, I like DeRozan’s chances of eclipsing the benchmark.
