March 18 NBA DFS Picks: Choose Julius Randle & Damian Lillard For Fantasy Points

Last Updated: Mar 18, 2021

March 18 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 3/18/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Thursday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

March 18 NBA DFS Picks

Star Shootout, Early Games

MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Julius Randle, PF, New York Knicks (vs. Orlando Magic): More Than 50.5 Fantasy Points

Randle has exceeded 60 MKF points in two of the last three games alone, and he’s already racked up 26 double-doubles in 41 games. The Magic are also allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency (27.7 percent) to power forwards on the season, and they’re ranked in the bottom half of the league with 47.5 percent shooting surrendered, 54.9 rebounds and 25.7 assists per contest allowed on the road. Given the number of paths available for Randle to have a big night, I’ll take him to go over this benchmark for the 14th time this season.

Trae Young, PG, Atlanta Hawks (vs. Oklahoma City Thunder): Less Than 48.5 Fantasy Points

Young has scored less than 48.5 MKF points in seven of the last nine games, including the last two despite Clint Capela being out of the lineup with a heel injury. Capela is questionable for Thursday’s game as well, but Young is facing a Thunder squad that’s allowed just 41.4 percent shooting to point guards, along with the fifth-lowest offensive efficiency (24.3 percent) to the position. The Thunder is also giving up the fifth-fewest points per contest (108.4) on the road, where they’ve played their best defense by far. Young has failed to exceed this benchmark in 20 of 38 contests, and I’m in the camp of Thursday serving as instance No. 21.

New Orleans Pelicans at Portland Trail Blazers

MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 3x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers: More Than 49.5 Fantasy Points

Lillard went off for 68.3 MKF points versus these same Pelicans on Tuesday after having racked up a season-high 73.8 MKF points in his first game against them this season. The Pelicans are now allowing an NBA-high 55.8 MKF points per game to PGs over the last 15 games, along with the second-highest offensive efficiency (30.6 percent) to ones on the season. Lillard has eclipsed this benchmark in four of the last five games, and with the Pels ranked in the bottom 10 defensively in every major statistical category, I like him to accomplish the feat again in what should be another high-scoring battle.

Zion Williamson, PF, New Orleans Pelicans: More Than 41.5 Fantasy Points

Williamson came through as a recommendation in Tuesday’s matchup against the Blazers, scoring 47 MKF points across 33 minutes. He’s once again carrying a 41.5-point benchmark Thursday, one that Zion has now eclipsed in 20 of 38 games. Portland allows the second-most rebounds per home game (55.5) and also ranks in the bottom half of the league with 48.6 points in the paint given up per contest, an area of the floor where 76.1 percent of Williamson’s scoring (19.5 points per game) emanates from. Just as with Lillard, I expect Williamson to play a major role in what should be another close, high-scoring game, putting me in the direction of “More” hitting once again.
