The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Tuesday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:
March 16 NBA DFS Picks
Utah Jazz at Boston Celtics
MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)
MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:
- Point= +1 point
- Assist= +1.5 points
- Rebound= +1.2 points
- Steal= +3 points
- Block= +3 points
- Turnover= -1 point
Jayson Tatum, SF, Boston Celtics: More Than 42.5 Fantasy Points
Tatum has scored 42.5 MKF points in 17 of 33 games, with seven of those instances coming in the last 11 games. The star wing’s shot has also started to heat up after a slump, as he’s drained 57.4 percent of his attempts, including 50.0 percent from deep, over the last three contests. The Jazz have been notably more vulnerable defensively on the road, allowing almost seven more points per game when traveling, and defending small forwards has actually been one of Utah’s few positional defensive soft spots. The Jazz are ranked just outside the bottom 10 with 23.7 percent efficiency surrendered to threes, along with the fifth-most MKF points per game (58.3) to the position in the last 10 games.
Rudy Gobert, C, Utah Jazz: More Than 41.5 Fantasy Points
Gobert has been absolutely dominant down low in his first two post-All-Star-break games, with his 24-point, 28-rebound double-double against the Warriors on Sunday preceded by another double-double complemented by a six-block effort versus Houston on Thursday. The Celtics have some fairly solid numbers on paper against centers, but Gobert is the type of big that’s frequently given them trouble in recent seasons and he already posted 41.9 MKF points over 36 minutes versus Boston on Feb. 9. Gobert has eclipsed 41.5 MKF points in 16 of 38 games thus far this season, and with both teams ranked in the top half of the league in shooting percentage allowed in the home/road splits that apply to them Tuesday, there should be plenty of opportunities for the Stifle Tower on both the offensive and defensive glass.

New Orleans Pelicans at Portland Trail Blazers
MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 3x your Buy-In)
MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:
- Point= +1 point
- Assist= +1.5 points
- Rebound= +1.2 points
- Steal= +3 points
- Block= +3 points
- Turnover= -1 point
Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers: More Than 49.5 Fantasy Points
Lillard put up a season-high 73.8 MKF points against the Pelicans in his one prior meeting against them on the strength of a 43-point, 16-assist double-double, and although C.J. McCollum is projected to return for Portland on Tuesday, he’s likely to be on some sort of minutes restriction. Lillard has scored at least 49.5 MKF points in 15 of 37 games, and New Orleans checks into Tuesday’s showdown allowing the fourth-most points per game (115.5), second-most assists (27.2) and sixth-most blocks (5.6) per contest to PGs, along with the second-highest offensive efficiency (30.0 percent) to point guards.
Zion Williamson, PF, New Orleans Pelicans: More Than 41.5 Fantasy Points
Williamson has scored 34.9 MKF points or fewer in three straight games, but all of those contests have been blowout scenarios in either direction, and Zion actually logged just 18 minutes in one of them. Factoring out that trio of outliers, Williamson has eclipsed 41.5 MKF points in 19 of 34 games, and he put up 54. 2 MKF points against Portland in his one prior meeting with them this season. The Blazers are also allowing 46.9 MKF points per game to PFs on the season and rank in the bottom half of the league with 48.4 points in the paint given up per contest, an area of the floor where 76.1 percent of Williamson’s scoring (19.4 points per game) emanates from.
