March 15 NBA DFS Picks: Knicks Will Slow Kyrie Irving’s Scoring Potential

Last Updated: Mar 15, 2021

March 15 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 3/15/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Monday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

March 15 NBA DFS Picks

Star Shootout, Early Games

MKF Contest: More or Less (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 3x your Buy-In)

Kyrie Irving, PG, Brooklyn Nets (vs. New York Knicks): Less Than 28.5 Points

It’s easy to still have Irving’s 40-point nationally televised outburst against the Celtics on Thursday in mind when try to make a decision on this prop, but a more balanced look should be deployed. Kyrie has actually fallen short of 29 points in 19 of 28 games this season, including in seven of his last eight.

Additionally, the Knicks are about the toughest team in the league to generate a spectacular offensive performance against, considering New York is allowing NBA-low 43.7 percent shooting on the road, along with an NBA-low 105.0 points per game overall. The Knicks will also inevitably bog the Nets down a bit with their NBA-low 99.1 possessions per contest, dimming Irving’s chances of exceeding this benchmark even further.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, Milwaukee Bucks (at Washington Wizards): Less Than 28.5 Points

This may be another double-take-worthy call, but there’s a case to be made here as well. Yes, Antetokounmpo is coming off just having eviscerated this same Wizards squad for 33 points, but as spectacular as Giannis’ season has been, he’s actually only scored at least 29 points on one more occasion (19) than he’s fallen short of the mark (18).

The production against Washington was also a bit of an outlier in the sense the Wizards have allowed a respectable 21.3 points per game to PFs, and Giannis’ big night also came with Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday shooting a combined 9-for-30 from the floor, something that’s highly unlikely to come close to repeating itself.

Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks

MKF Contest: More or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks: More Than 49.5 Fantasy Points

Doncic compiled an impressive 47.8 MKF points in just 26 minutes against the Clippers back on Dec. 27, and despite this being a high statistical bar to clear, Luka has eclipsed 49.5 MKF points in exactly half of his 34 games thus far. It’s also worth noting the Clippers will be without Patrick Beverley (knee) again Monday and already come in allowing the fifth-most MKF points per game (52.5) to point guards over the last 15 games. Finally, consider Doncic comes in with a hot hand, having shot 51.7 percent, including 42.5 percent from three-point range, across his last 10 contests.

Kawhi Leonard, SF, Los Angeles Clippers: More Than 42.5 Fantasy Points

Leonard has exceeded 42.5 MKF points in 19 of 32 games, including seven of the last 10 games prior to Sunday, when he logged just 29 minutes in a blowout loss to the Pelicans and still actually came close with 37 MKF points. Dallas comes into Monday giving up the second-most points (24.1) and third-most made threes (3.4) per game to small forwards over the last 15 games as well, along with the seventh-most rebounds (54.6) on a team level. Kawhi should once again enjoy massive usage as the Clippers look to avenge a season-worst 125-73 loss to Dallas on Dec. 27, a game that Leonard missed.
