January 28 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 1/28/21 NBA DFS Plays.
With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.
The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Thursday’s slate featuring plenty some big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:
January 28 NBA DFS Picks
Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets
MKF Contest: More or Less- (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 3x your Buy-in)
Damian Lillard More Than 7.5 Assists
Lillard boasts a 31.5 percent usage rate without C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic, and he’s averaging 8.0 assists without McCollum next to him in the backcourt the last three games. Thursday, he’ll face a Rockets team that he dished out nine dimes against back in the second game of the season. Lillard has at least six dimes in six of 16 games thus far, and in what should be a competitive game between two fast-paced teams, I like Lillard to exceed the 7.5 as he’s done in his last pair of contests.
Christian Wood More Than 10.5 Rebounds
Wood has declared himself fully healthy for Thursday’s game, so he should be back to his usual robust workload against the Trail Blazers. The breakout big is averaging 10.8 boards per contest and logged double-digit rebounds in three of the four contests prior to his three-game absence. Wood also pulled down 13 boards in the Rockets’ opening game of the season against these same Blazers, and Portland’s pedestrian 44.2 percent shooting percentage should give Wood a solid amount of opportunities on the defensive glass.

Golden State Warriors at Phoenix Suns
MKF Contest: More or Less – Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-in)
MKF Fantasy Points Scoring System:
- Point= +1 point
- Assist= +1.5 points
- Rebound= +1.2 points
- Steal= +3 points
- Block= +3 points
- Turnover= -1 point
Chris Paul More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points (*if Devin Booker misses game)
Devin Booker could well miss another game with his hamstring injury Thursday, a development that would once again leave Paul in a high-usage role he’s thrived in over the last pair of contests with Booker off the floor. The veteran point guard has scored 55.3 and 44.5 MKF fantasy points in those games while averaging 26.5 points, 9.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals and taking 20.5 shots per contest. However, if Booker does return Thursday and plays without a minutes restriction, I would lean toward Paul falling short of this 39.5 tally, as his fantasy-points-per-minute average goes from 1.24 without Booker to 1.06 with his teammate on the floor.
Andrew Wiggins Less Than 30.5 Fantasy Points
Wiggins is enjoying a solid season thus far with averages of 17.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 blocks across 31.9 minutes per contest. However, he runs into a tough defensive matchup Thursday versus a Suns team allowing the sixth-fewest points per game (108.6), along with the 10th-lowest three-point percentage (35.2) of any team on its home floor. Phoenix also ranks sixth in team defensive efficiency, and thanks in large part to Paul’s defense, seventh in that category against backcourt players specifically. While I would expect Wiggins to still have a solid game overall, I see him falling short of the 30.5 mark for the ninth time in 19 games this season.
