Last Updated: Jan 24, 2021

January 23 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 1/23/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The GameDay breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Saturday’s slate featuring plenty some big names, here’s a closer look at two opportunities involving four of the most offensively explosive players in action:

January 23 NBA DFS Picks

Star Shootout – Early Games

MKF Contest: More or Less- Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-in)

MKF Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Jerami Grant: More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points

Grant appears to be a shoo-in for most improved player this season, as the starting opportunity he’s been afforded in Detroit has led to career highs in points (25.1), rebounds (6.2), assists (2.7) and three-point percentage (39.6), along with 1.3 blocks per contest. Grant’s highly efficient shooting and well-rounded contributions have made him a fantasy darling all season, and a matchup against a Sixers team ranked in the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency rating (24.9 percent) allowed to small forwards should enable him to exceed this benchmark.

Zion Williamson: More Than 38.5 Fantasy Points

Williamson has been outstanding of late, entering Saturday’s favorable matchup against the Timberwolves with averages of 27.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists on outstanding 65.1 percent shooting over his last six games. The second-year big could prove to be a particularly problematic matchup for the Timberwolves, which are allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency rating (61.9 percent) in the paint, where nearly 80.0 percent of Williamson’s scoring emanates from.

Los Angeles Lakers at Chicago Bulls

MKF Contest: More or Less (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 3x your Buy-in)

Zach LaVine More Than 27.5 Points

Like Grant, LaVine is putting up high-water marks in multiple categories this season in the form of 27.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists, while also producing 1.4 steals per contest. Those well-rounded contributions have made him a fantasy goldmine most of the season, as has his team-high 29.0 percent usage rate.

The matchup against the Lakers on Saturday is also a favorable one, as Los Angeles has given up 46.2 percent shooting, including 36.8 percent from distance, to shooting guards, and also rank in the bottom half of the league in rebounds (6.3) and assists (4.8) given up to the position.

LeBron James More Than 24.5 Points

LeBron should be a beneficiary of the significant bump in pace the Bulls will bring to the Lakers on Saturday, as well as Chicago’s defensive vulnerabilities. The Bulls are allowing the third-most points per game (119.3), along with the fifth-highest shooting percentage (47.9) and 10th-highest three-point percentage (37.2).

LeBron is enjoying his usual outsized role in the Lakers’ attack, and he’s averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.6 rebounds – along with stellar 47.5 percent three-point shooting – over his last five games.
