February 9 NBA Prop Bet Tips

Jerami Grant, Detroit Pistons vs. Brooklyn Nets

Over 23.5 Points (-113)

Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.88 Units)

The Brooklyn Nets feature arguably the defense in the league despite possessing three all-NBA players in Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. This game’s Over/Under is at 229.5 and the Pistons are just 6.5 point underdogs.

Grant, who averages 36.2 mpg will stick around to play enough in the fourth quarter of this game assuming that it stays moderately close, allowing him to hit the scoring over. Grant is averaging 24ppg and has cracked the mark four times in the past seven games. He should be capable of feasting inside despite the Nets’ recent addition of Noah Vonleh and the Pistons coming off of a double-overtime loss on Saturday.

Mitchell Robinson, New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat

Over 7.5 Rebounds (-140)

Wager: 2 units (win would pay 3.42 units)

Mitchell Robinson is coming off of a game in which he reeled in 7 rebounds against the Heat but that was while accruing 5 fouls. He did play just over 30 minutes and will have to remain on the floor to match-up against opposing big Bam Adebayo.

With all of those fouls, Julius Randle was the primary beneficiary inside as he racked up 13 boards, presumably due to Robinson having to stay clean to not foul-out in a close game. Robinson averages 8.2 per game and should remain on the floor and particularly, in the paint today to crack 7.5.

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz vs. Boston Celtics

Over 4.5 Assists (-170)

Wager: 3 units (win would pay 4.77 units)

With Mike Conley (hamstring) out for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics, Donovan Mitchell will be forced to step up as the primary initiator on offense against a Celtics team that is still without Marcus Smart (leg) and may not have Jaylen Brown (knee) available again.

Mitchell will have his way with the backcourt if Kemba Walker and Payton Pritchard are forced to face him and he can attack, drive and kick as necessary with the ball in his hands plenty. Conley’s 23.3% usage rate will have to be made up for and Mitchell, who already averaged 4.9 assists per game, will be tasked with carrying the team.
