February 4 NBA DFS Picks: Choose LeBron James

Last Updated: Feb 4, 2021

February 4 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 2/4/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Thursday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

February 4 DFS Picks

Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks

MKF Contest: Fantasy Challenge (Pick three players to exceed 141.5 fantasy points to win 1.5x your Buy-in)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks

Doncic has hit or exceeded 50 MKF points in an impressive 11 of 21 games thus far this season, making him an excellent bet to provide over 1/3 of the required total here to keep the trio on pace for the 141.5 benchmark. Moreover, he gets a nice bump in pace Thursday, as the Warriors check in averaging an NBA-high 109.1 possessions per game on the road. That potentially gives Doncic about 7-8 extra possessions to work with, which strengthens his case even further.

Kristaps Porzingis, PF, Dallas Mavericks

Porzingis has an enviable matchup down low Thursday, as the Warriors are essentially out of centers with both James Wiseman (wrist) and Kevon Looney (ankle) sidelined. That’s going to leave the 7-foot-3 big man with plenty of matchups against the likes of Draymond Green and Eric Paschall, both of who stand just 6-foot-6. Porzingis has been over 40 MKF points in back-to-back contests and has exceeded the mark in five of 11 contests overall. Considering the Warriors also give up the third-highest offensive efficiency (26.9 percent) to power forwards, Porzingis’ prospects look bright.

Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors

Curry racked up 69.2 MKF points against the Celtics on Tuesday, already his third tally of over 60 this season and seventh overall with at least 50. In other words, there’s no doubt Curry has what it takes to contribute a good 30-35% of the required fantasy-point total here, particularly against a Mavericks team that will be playing its third game in four nights, and that entered Wednesday’s game against the Hawks giving up 41.0 percent three-point shooting over the last three contests.

Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

Nikola Jokic More Than 10.5 Rebounds

Jokic is averaging 11.8 rebounds per contest and heads into Thursday’s showdown with nine consecutive double-doubles. He’s hauled in at least 11 boards in 11 of 20 games this season, and although the Lakers have been very good against centers overall, the fact Los Angeles allows the eighth-lowest shooting percentage (45.2) should help Jokic pick up some extra opportunities on the offensive glass and give him a chance to at least squeak by this benchmark.

LeBron James More Than 7.5 Assists

James is averaging exactly 7.5 assists per contest, but he faces a Nuggets squad that’s allowing the third-most assists per game (26.6). LeBron has at least eight assists in nine of 22 games overall and is boasting a sky-high 32.1 percent usage rate, so there’s no question the ball will be in his hands plenty as usual in what could be a wire-to-wire battle. Los Angeles is also shooting an elevated 49.8 percent and the Nuggets are giving up 47.5 percent shooting on the road, so there should be plenty of assist opportunities for the defending champs.
