The NBA starts off Week 9 with seven games on the schedule. I’ll look to improve on my season record of 27-34 (-12.28 units) with the following three wagers.
February 15 NBA Prop Bet Tips
Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn Nets at Sacramento Kings
Over 28.5 Points (-115)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)
The Nets will once again be without Kevin Durant, who will miss at least the next two games with a hamstring injury. That means Irving and James Harden will be left to carry the Nets’ offense in this matchup against a Kings team that has the worst defensive rating in the league. It also helps his cause for hitting the over that both of these teams rank inside the top 11 in the league in pace of play.
John Wall, Houston Rockets at Washington Wizards
Over 24.5 Points (-115)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)
The last time we saw Wall face his former squad, he scored 24 points over just 24 minutes in what was a blowout win. This game could be closer considering the Rockets will be playing without Christian Wood (ankle) and Victor Oladipo (foot). Their absences also mean that Wall should receive plenty of shot attempts, which makes the Over even more appealing given that the Wizards have the fifth-worst defensive rating.
Julius Randle, New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks
Over 32.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.91 units)
The Hawks had no answers for Randle when these two teams met in early January, which left Randle to torch them for 28 points and 17 rebounds. The Knicks are going to need Randle to crash the boards even more now with Mitchell Robinson (hand) out, and could even play Randle some at center when they want to go small. Randle has recorded at least 33 total points and rebounds in six of his last eight games and I like his chances of surpassing that threshold again.
