With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Thursday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

February 11 DFS Picks

Miami Heat at Houston Rockets

MKF Contest: Scoring Champ, Fantasy Points (Win 1.8x your Buy-in if three selected players exceed goal of 66.5 points)

Victor Oladipo, SG, Houston Rockets

Oladipo will come into Thursday’s favorable matchup refreshed, as he sat out Houston’s game against the Pelicans for rest. The veteran sharpshooter still hasn’t quite hit his stride shooting wise this season, but he should have a good opportunity to do so Thursday. The Heat have been susceptible to shooting guards, allowing elevated 38.5 percent three-point shooting to the position, and Oladipo has scored at least 20 points in 11 of 19 games thus far this season.

Jimmy Butler, SF, Miami Heat

Butler has returned from an extended absence due to COVID-19 in fine form, as he’s averaging 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.7 steals across 34.0 minutes over his first six games back. The veteran wing has scored at least 25 points in five of 12 games, and the Rockets will bring a nice bump in pace to the Heat. Additionally, Houston is also surrendering the fifth-most points per game (22.4) to small forwards.

Bam Adebayo, C, Miami Heat

Adebayo is averaging 20.1 points per game on 57.3 percent shooting, and he’s scored over 20 points in three of the past five games alone. The big man has scored 19 or more points in 12 of 22 games overall, and he’s averaging 28.1 points per 48 minutes with Goran Dragic (ankle) off the floor this season. The Rockets are also more susceptible defensively down low at the moment with DeMarcus Cousins manning the five in place of Christian Wood (ankle), furthering Adebayo’s case..

Philadelphia 76ers at Portland Trail Blazers

MKF Contest: More or Less- Fantasy Points (Pick 3/3 correctly to win 5x your Buy-in)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Damian Lillard, PG, Portland Trail Blazers: More Than 49.5 Fantasy Points

Lillard is averaging a stellar 32.4 points, 7.5 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 steal while shooting 40.0 percent from three-point range over his last 10 games, and he’s totaled at least 49.5 MKF points in eight of 22 games. The statistical bar is an undeniably high one to clear, but with C.J. McCollum (foot) and Jusuf Nurkic (wrist) still out, Lillard is taking a much bigger load on his shoulders and thriving with it. Lillard boasts a 32.0 percent usage rate and is averaging 1.33 MKF points per minute with his teammates off the floor this season, and the star point guard faces a 76ers squad that checks in ranked in the bottom half of the league in points (24.6), assists (9.3), rebounds (6.3) and steals (2.0) per game allowed to point guards.

Joel Embiid, C, Philadelphia 76ers: More Than 49.5 Fantasy Points

Embiid has taken his scoring to another level this season, as he’s averaging a career-high 29.1 points on career-best 54.7 percent shooting, including 37.7 percent from three-point range. Embiid has also eclipsed the 49.5 fantasy-point benchmark in half of his 20 games with the help of his 11.0 rebounds and career-high 1.4 steals per game. The Trail Blazers’ Enes Kanter has been playing better defense than usual since taking over for Nurkic, but Portland is still ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency (31.8 percent) allowed to centers.

Ben Simmons, PG, Philadelphia 76ers: Less Than 41.5 Fantasy Points

Simmons is enjoying a solid season overall, but his scoring is down nearly three points per game (13.5, down from 16.4), as he’s put up under 20 points in 20 of 22 contests. He’s exceeded Thursday’s benchmark in nine of 22 games, but with the 76ers now back to full health, he sports a pedestrian 19.6 percent usage rate over the last 10 contests. Portland does present a favorable matchup for point guards and Simmons should still have a solid game, but I predict him falling at least narrowly short of this number.
