With just three weeks left in the Premier League season, things are tight at both ends of the table, and almost every game on the Premier League schedule this weekend is meaningful.
That means most teams haven’t mentally checked out yet, which is providing us with compelling, competitive games.
After a close look at the upcoming schedule, here are my three favorite Premier League predictions for the weekend.
Premier League Predictions: Matchweek 36
All soccer odds used for these EPL Matchweek 36 predictions are current as of Thursday, May 7, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Liverpool ML (-115) vs Chelsea
Unless it’s an FA Cup match, the best thing anyone can do right now is fade Chelsea. The Blues were utterly dominated 3-1 by Nottingham Forest this past Monday, making it six straight Premier League defeats.
Not only are they losing, but the Blues have also been outscored 14-1 in those six defeats, and a managerial change during that stretch has failed to turn the tide.
Needless to say, that doesn’t bode well for Chelsea ahead of a trip to Anfield to face a Liverpool side that’s upset about last week’s loss to rival Manchester United.
The Reds still need to pick up a few more points to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League, making this my EPL bet of the day.
Arsenal -1.5 (+160) @ West Ham United
This is my most aggressive soccer bet of the day, as I expect the Gunners to make a statement in the title race by beating West Ham by multiple goals.
Arsenal’s tails are up after advancing to the Champions League Final, especially with Manchester City dropping points on Monday.
In between those two critical Champions League semifinal matches, the Gunners knocked off Fulham 3-0 in convincing fashion.
They have even less reason to be distracted this week, which is why I expect the Gunners to win comfortably against a West Ham side that looks dead in the water after last week’s 3-0 loss to Brentford.
Tottenham ML (-120) vs Leeds
Forget everything you saw during Tottenham’s first 30-plus games of the season; they look different under Roberto De Zerbi.
Slowly but surely, things have picked up, and suddenly, Spurs have two wins and a draw in their last three league matches.

Under De Zerbi, they have shown much-needed urgency in back-to-back road wins, which should have them motivated to give a similar effort in front of their home fans on Monday.
Leeds, on the other hand, is all but safe and won’t have that same urgency, and since they’ve lost five in a row to Spurs, I have every reason to believe Tottenham will collect all three points.
