Eagles Browns Players to Watch

Coming off a Week 9 bye, PHI QB Carson Wentz put up a stinker against the Giants last week, going 21-for-37 for 208 yards and zero TDs. He should have a bounce-back game against a Browns D that has allowed two-plus passing touchdowns in five games this year.

Eagles Browns Bet Tips: Carson Wentz should bounce back against Browns, but would it be enough to help Philly win?

On the receiving end of those potential TDs could be the Eagles’ top wideout this season, Travis Fulgham. He’s caught four touchdowns while only playing in six games, to go along with a team-high 443 receiving yards. The Browns get crushed by WRs in the TD department, having allowed 12 total and at least two on separate occasions. Alshon Jeffery should also be another week healthier, after an uneventful return (1 target, 0 receptions) in Week 10.

For the Browns, CLE RB Nick Chubb returned with a vengeance last week. The back racked up 126 yards on 19 carries and a TD (he could have had a second, but went out of bounds at the 1-yard line to ice the win). Chubb should again receive a heavy workload against an Eagles front seven that thrives at stopping the run.

The unit has allowed just two backfields to top 100 rush yards (Week 2 vs Rams, Week 8 vs Cowboys), but hasn’t allowed a single individual to top the century mark. And let’s not forget about Kareem Hunt, who also topped 100 yards last week, going for 106 on 19 carries as well.

Eagles-Browns Weather Report

The weather report for FirstEnergy Stadium calls for a cloudy day with a little rain in the afternoon. A high temperature of 56 degrees Fahrenheit and wind gusts of up to 16 mph are also expected at game time.

Eagles-Browns Bet Tips

BEST BET: Browns -3 (-125)

The infamous -3 (-125). If you’ve been reading these betting guides, you might have noticed my propensity to take these as my best bet for a particular game. The reason: this line is likely to move, in the wrong direction, if you’re betting the Browns. I’m sure we will see Browns -3.5 by Sunday, and we don’t want the hook (that extra half-point) to come back to haunt us.

Rest assured, if the Eagles couldn’t beat the Giants on the road, I don’t know how they’re going to beat a much better Browns team in Cleveland. Take the Dawg Pound minus the points.

CONSIDER: Over 47.5 (-110)

After both of these teams hit the under in Week 10, I’m expecting a course correction in Week 11. Prior to last week’s weather affected 10-point win for the Browns, they had scored at least 32 points in each of the team’s five previous victories. On the other side, the Eagles have scored between 17 and 29 points in every game this season. Since I’m leaning Browns here, and expecting another big scoring output from Cleveland, if we crunch those numbers, there should be just enough points to carry this total to the over.

PASS: Browns (-186)

Don’t risk close to 2-to-1 on your money here, as you’re better off just buying the Browns spread down to -2.5. If Cleveland wins outright, they likely win by at least a field goal.
