Super Bowl 58 features two standout performers. One has been doing it for a while, and the other burst onto the scene recently despite little fanfare.

If you think this is about Patrick Mahomes and Brock Purdy, you’re wrong.

We’re talking about Harrison Butker and Jake Moody, and the crew that makes up the special teams for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

If you want kicker and special teams bets, make sure to use DraftKings. If you want more of the best sportsbook promos in the industry, The Game Day has you covered.

Best DraftKings Kicker Props

Jake Moody: Under 1.5 Field Goals Made (

A couple of reasons to take the under with Moody.

The 49ers attempted three fields goals in the NFC Championship and have averaged two over their past three contests. That is above their 1.6 season average.

Also, Moody has been shaky at best over his past three, only making three of five field goal attempts.

Even if the misses dissipate, the Chiefs allow 1.5 field goal attempts per game, including one per game over their last three games.

A good defense doesn’t only prevents touchdowns.

Will There Be A Missed FG/XP: Yes (-130) at DraftKings Sportsbook

Wonderful piggyback bet based on Moody’s recent output.

While Harrison Butker is generally nails from anywhere, but kickers could get solid run in a defensive battle, which means potentially more attempts to miss the uprights.

Chiefs Total Field Goal Yardage: Over 63.5 Yards () at DraftKings Sportsbook

Harrison Butker had eight games in 2023 without multiple field goals made, so that already gives me the warm and fuzzies for this bet.

On top of that, Butker cleared this yardage with ease in the two postseason games where he had two-plus attempts (six total). The Chiefs offense has its limitations, even against a susceptible 49ers pass defense that has lapses in coverage and issues sustaining pressure.

It would not be surprising to see the K.C. offense stall a few times, but when it does, Andy Reid trusts his kicker to make any kick under 60 yards, but even that isn’t out of the question (6-for-6 on 50+ yard FG attempts).

Longest Kickoff Return: Over 27.5 Yards (+115) at DraftKings Sportsbook

There’s two layers to this wager.

  1. The 49ers are one of the worst teams at successfully kicking off for a touchback (62.39%)
  2. Both teams have players that have returns that cover this number.

If Butker fails to reach the end zone on a kick-off, Deebo Samuel (34), Ray-Ray McCloud (34), and Jordan Mason (28, if active) have covered this number.

For K.C., Richie James (31) is their guy. He also tied for 5th in the NFL with 4 punt returns over 20 yards, which would cover DK’s longest punt return yardage prop (17.5).

Only six teams allowed more kick returns than the 49ers, and only two squads allowed more kick return yards. This is a good bet to make for a smaller unit of play since kick returns are fewer and farther between than ever before.

Heads up DK bettors! Tonight’s (Feb. 9) Super Bowl Happy Hour boost will be Deebo Samuel and Rasheed Rice each to catch a pass in the 1st Quarter!

Check back at 5 p.m. EST to see what odds boost you get.
