Kansas City Chiefs (8-1) at Las Vegas Raiders (6-3)

The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. ET. Here’s our complete guide to Chiefs Raiders Bet Tips.

All odds and lines from SugarHouse NJ, current as of Saturday at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Chiefs Raiders Bet Tips

Chiefs Raiders Odds and Betting Lines

  • Against The Spread: Chiefs -8 (-110)/ Raiders +8 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Chiefs (-345)/ Raiders (+290)
  • Total: 57 — Over 57 (-110)/ Under 57 (-110)
  • Implied Team Totals: Chiefs 32.5, Raiders 24.5

In the first meeting between the Chiefs and Raiders this season, Las Vegas knocked off the defending Super Bowl Champions at Arrowhead Stadium.

Since that game, the Raiders are 3-1 and are currently riding a three-game win streak. They will look to make it four in a row facing a Chiefs club that is on a four-game winning streak of its own since Vegas handed KC its first and only 2020 loss.

Chiefs Raiders Players to Watch

Chiefs RB Le’Veon Bell has been a non-factor since signing with Kansas City back on October 15. In fact, the Kansas City rushing attack as a whole has been sub-par, to say the least.

In the three games in which RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Bell have played together since Week 7, the rookie has 19 carries for 81 yards and one touchdown while the veteran back has 16 carries for 54 yards and no scores.

Chiefs Raiders Bet Tips: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le'Veon Bell need to get going on ground

In the passing game, Edwards-Helaire has posted a 7/47/1 line on 12 targets while Bell has caught all four of his targets for 27 yards.

The Chiefs will look to get their ground game right in an outstanding matchup with a Raiders defense ranked ninth in rushing yards (811) and fourth in rushing touchdowns allowed (9).

They have also given up the seventh-most receptions (55), the fifth-most receiving yards (457), and the fourth most touchdowns (2) to enemy backs in the passing game.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is a Chiefs slayer.

In three career games facing Kansas City, Jacobs has shown up, rushing for at least 99 yards or scoring two touchdowns in all three meetings.

Jacobs has scored two career touchdowns against the Chiefs. They both came in his Week 5 meeting against them earlier this season. Jacobs also added 82 total yards to his two scores in that Week 5 victory.

The Kansas City defense has been terrific this season. However, if the D has a weakness, it is defending the run. The Chiefs are allowing the third-most rushing yards per game (138.4) in 2020.

Chiefs Raiders Bet Tips

BEST BET: Chiefs -8 (-110)

There are not many, if any, head coaches better coming off of a bye than Andy Reid. With the extra week to prepare, the Chiefs should handily take care of business against Las Vegas this week, avoiding the season sweep.

The Chiefs are 15-3 against the spread in their last 18 games.

The Chiefs are 6-3 ATS in nine games played this season and 3-2 in their past five.

Six of Kansas City’s eight wins this season have come by at least eight points.

The Chiefs are 6-4 ATS in their past 10 meetings with the Raiders and 4-2 in their past six.

CONSIDER: Under 57 (-110)

While both teams can put up massive points, this is a game that could go Under this time around. See this week’s Seattle-Arizona game.

While the Total met the over back in Week 5’s meeting between the Raiders and Chiefs, we may not see such an offensive overlay this time around.

The Under is 7-3 in the past 10 games between the Raiders and Chiefs.

The Under is 5-4 in Kansas City’s nine games played this season.

The Over is 6-2-1 in Oakland’s nine games played.

PASS: Raiders (+290)

This is one of the few big-underdog Moneylines I would be willing to take a shot on this week considering the (+290) odds.

However, it is a longshot, considering how good Andy Reid is following a bye week and not to mention the fact that the Chiefs’ defense is vastly better than Las Vegas’, but we have already seen the Raiders win once over the Chiefs this season.

What’s more, this Raiders team led by Jon Gruden is not the same team the Raiders had fielded in the past. That matters.

Still, I wouldn’t wager this way, but I can’t say I’d blame you if you did.

If you are willing to wager applying the “any given Sunday" narrative, this is the game. Though, as I have said, I am punting it.
