Prairie View A&M (7-4) is practically limping into this championship matchup, having lost three straight since opening the year 7-1. Because the SWAC is divided into two divisions, Prairie View will play in this game despite having the fourth-best overall record and third-best conference record.
Jackson State (10-1) was undefeated in conference play this season and is the absolute class of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver Keith Corbin III have had excellent chemistry all season and will look to leverage that on Saturday.

Jackson State is the better team in this matchup by a wide margin. They have all the momentum on their side, especially with Prairie View dropping three straight.
The Panthers arguably shouldn’t even be playing in this game, but are only here because of divisional implications within the conference. That doesn’t necessarily make them a good team, however.

The Tigers should win this game fairly easily, but expect the Panthers to hang tough throughout, especially if they can rediscover their mojo from earlier in the season.
This matchup should be one where Jackson State never has a tremendous lead but still controls the game from start to finish.

In a game that does not figure to have a ton of points scored, taking a seven-point favorite is a tough ask after consulting our CFB gameday odds.
That said, I believe Jackson State is at least a touchdown better than Prairie View. Their offense has appeared unstoppable at times against SWAC competition and Prairie View’s defense has gotten exposed on numerous occasions.
I’m backing not only the favorite, but also the team with the home crowd behind them and all of the momentum.
Best Bet: Over 43.5 Total Points (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
43.5 points is an easy bar to clear in any football game, but this one is quite difficult to gauge. Neither of these teams typically produce high point totals, but Jackson State is capable of doing so against a weak Prairie View defense.
Given that Jackson State’s defense has been excelling, they might need to carry the load offensively to have this total go over. Still, 43.5 points isn’t much. Prairie View has had their last seven contests go over that total while Jackson State has had three of their last five do the same.
I’m backing the Over for our CFB bet of the day with the expectation that Praire View doesn’t simply lay down and die against Jackson State’s top-tier defense.
