Broncos Panthers Key Injuries

The Broncos’ Week 14 injury report is pretty clean, however, key players including Von Miller and Courtland Sutton are on IR. Tight end Jake Butt is expected to be activated from IR this week, but it’s yet to be seen what his role will be in the Denver offense.

Christian McCaffrey isn’t expected to play again Sunday, meaning Mike Davis will carry the load for the Panthers again in Week 14. Davis has tallied at least 15 carries and 55 yards in each of his past two starts at RB.

Broncos Panthers Bet Tips and Broncos at Panthers picks: Drew Lock could be in for another big game vs. Carolina's weak defense

Broncos Panthers Players to Watch

DEN QB Drew Lock has two or more passing TDs in three of his last seven starts, but also has three games during that stretch with zero passing scores. Facing a Panthers defense that allowed three-plus passing TDs in three of its last four games prior to last week’s bye, we could see another positive output for Lock.

CAR QB Teddy Bridgewater had extra time to heal up with the Panthers’ Week 13 bye. He’s been amazingly consistent with his scoring output this season, throwing for one or two TDs in nine of his 11 starts. In two of the games that Bridgewater threw for two, he also ran for one. Going up against a Denver D that has allowed just two passing TDs in its last four games, how Teddy fairs could decide this contest.

Broncos Panthers Weather Report

The weather report at Bank of America Stadium calls for party sunny skies with a high temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a 5% chance of rain and 8 mph wind gusts are expected as well.

Broncos at Panthers Picks and Bet Tips

BEST BET: Panthers (-160)

Following a tough divisional loss against the Chiefs in Kansas City on Sunday night, I expect the Broncos to be at a disadvantage this week, on the road again — this time at Carolina. The Panthers are 2-0 ATS this season with the rest advantage, while the Broncos are 0-1 ATS when they have less rest. Even though the spread is only 3 points, this could absolutely end up being a field-goal game. That’s why I’m playing the moneyline as my best bet.

CONSIDER: Panthers -3 (-110)

Everything stated above leads to the Panthers -3 being a play I have to consider this week. If the line was 2.5, it would be my best bet.

PASS: Over 46 (-110)

Carolina has hit the over six times in 12 games. Denver has hit the over five times in 12 games. There’s nothing here to push me one way or the other, so I’ll pass on betting the total on this contest.
