Broncos-Chargers Key Injuries
Broncos
Bradley Chubb is listed as questionable with an ankle injury that forced him to leave the Broncos’ Week 15 loss to the Bills. If the linebacker misses this game, that’s a big downgrade to the Broncos’ D and an upgrade to all of the skill-position players for the Chargers.
Chargers
Another injury on the defensive side of the ball that could change the outcome of this contest is the status of Joey Bosa. As long as the Pro Bowl DE remains in concussion protocol, he could be forced to miss his third game this season due to a concussion.
Broncos-Chargers Players to Watch
DEN QB Drew Lock threw three touchdown passes in the Week 8 contest with the Chargers. Just looking at the box score, you’d think Lock had a great game. However, all three of those TDs came in the fourth quarter as part of a remarkable comeback by the Broncos.
He’s only thrown 10 TDs in the six games since, and the Chargers have only allowed one TD pass in three of their last four. Which version of Lock shows up on Sunday could be a difference-maker in this game.
And speaking of QBs, Justin Herbert just keeps producing. He has two TD passes in each of the last two games and went for 278 yards and 3 TDs the last time these teams met. Facing a Broncos D that has only allowed four passing touchdowns in its last six contests, we could see the Chargers’ ground game and Austin Ekeler featured on Sunday.
Broncos-Chargers Weather Report
The weather report for SoFi Stadium calls for mostly cloudy skies and a high of 62 degrees Fahrenheit. There is an 8% chance of rain and 10 mph wind gusts are expected as well.
Broncos-Chargers Picks & Bet Tips
BEST BET: Chargers (-180)
The Chargers are going to win this game, but I can’t predict by how much. After blowing a 24-10 third-quarter lead when these two teams met in Week 8, I expect the Bolts to be in a similar situation this weekend. But they’ll close this one out and ultimately win their third straight.

CONSIDER: Over 48.5 (-121)
Everything here says take the over, but that’s also why this is my consider instead of my best bet. Oftentimes when it looks too good to be true, it is. Proceed with caution here, especially with the extra juice (-121) on this number.
PASS: Chargers -3 (-121)
Like I said above, I think the Chargers win this game. However, I would hate for them to win by 3 and to leave with a push. That’s why I’m playing them moneyline, instead of minus the points.
