Miami Dolphins (-136)
The Dolphins are one of the hottest teams in football and, it began amidst the Ryan Fitzpatrick era while spilling into Tua Tagovailoa‘s reign. It isn’t the offense that is propelling Miami, however. It is their stingy and opportunistic defense.
While the Chargers are 2-6, most of their losses were close. On the Miami end, they have won four straight games and 5-of-6. In a battle of the first-round rookie quarterback between Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert, I will err on the side of the better defense and the more-complete team. Miami should walk out of Week 10 win a victory and one game closer to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East race.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers Over 50 (-110)
Green Bay should easily handle the Jaguars on Sunday. However, I am all about the total. The total is set at 50-points and I am in on the Over. While we know the Packers can hold up their end of the bargain when it comes to scoring, especially when facing an inferior defense unit like Jacksonville’s, the question marks lie on the side of the Jaguars’ offensive unit.
With Jake Luton under center last week, albeit was against an erratic Texans’ defense, the rookie signal-caller looked outstanding in his NFL debut. The Jaguars were throwing the ball downfield better than they were with Gardner Minshew, which adds another layer to their offense that is filled with playmakers.
Another positive is the Jaguars’ rushing attack led by surprising UDFA James Robinson. If Robinson can get going against a Packers front seven that is not very physical, the rest of the offense will open up. The Over is 6-3 in Jacksonville’s past nine games and 5-3 in Green Bay’s eight games played this season.
Seattle Seahawks (+105)
The Seahawks and the Rams will be a close game, but I like Seattle to walk away with a victory that both teams need in a pivotal matchup that could decide the NFC West when it is all said and done.
While the Rams have dominated Seattle in recent memory — they are 4-1 against Seattle in their past five games — this is one the Seahawks should win.
The Rams have yet to face-off against this Seahawks offense, which could be the best in the Russell Wilson era. If this game turns into a shootout, I trust Wilson with the ball in his hands last over Jared Goff.
I also think Wilson will play a cleaner game than Goff and one mistake will likely be the determining factor.
